    1. I hate the icon because it's so ugly and distracting that it dillutes the beauty of the gameworld
    2. The fact that it is so ugly and distracting makes it advantageous because it makes aggressive monsters more visible and hence more easily avoided.
    3. Thus players must keep it on even if they hate it, unless they want to be more susceptible to death.

    Just turn off the entire UI. The chat log detracts from the game's beauty. The HP, MP, and TP bars also detract from the beauty. That ugly, circular object on the top right called the minimap? Hideous. Remove it this instant.

    Perhaps this thread ought to be renamed - Giftforce & Molly_Millions: The Thread.


    On-topic: I'll be honest and say that the changes to the game only make me feel like playing it shortly after they release them. They have no lasting power for me so I guess I would be lying if I said I actually "like" any of the changes at all. Sure, the changes so far have been good compared to what the game was like originally, but as a whole the current changes have been lackluster in my view.
    Here's to hoping 1.18 and 1.19 will change this.

    But players aren't more susceptible to death w/out the icon, if you can see the mob w/ the icon you can see the mob without it. You must be able to see the mob to see the icon, it's not like the icon makes mobs that were previously invisible suddenly visible, it only indicates that that particular mob will try to eat your face if you get close, which if you know your enemies you'd know that already. The only thing the icon does is teach new players what mobs agro, that's it.

    changes i have liked.

    i like the search menu in wards. would love to see it improved though to show what items are hq and what is not so we can stop using the 1,2 and 3 at the end. would also like it to show all items not just items that are being sold.

    sp increase in crafting. this was a drastic help in crafting as well as the streamlining it has taken. it still has a way to go, but it is improving.

    the 5 big world nm's. those were nice originally, but post neft the game has been overtaken and overwhelmed with the gear. there are so many dodore doublets in the game that anyone with a r20 craft has one on my server for the most part.

    the mini nm's. i loved the mid level players were given nm's to compete against, but was unhappy to see premade gear dropping off them as it has made selling any mid level gear for crafters almost worthless unless you hq something.

    normalized the sp gains. i was so glad to move away from the original crab parties and taking a few minutes to kill a mob and wind up with 60 sp.

    speeding up the ui. yes, it has sped up, but has a long way to go.

    The crafting SP Boost... Even though I hit 50 Alch before it hit.
    The way we can rechoose recipes instead of every mat over and over.
    The speed up of gathering
    The giant eggs in the sky during the easter event was really neat to see

    I like everything thats been done as far as updates from tanaka and yoshi p.
    I just dont agree on the time(s) its taken or the order of the updates.
