@OP No just no no no.

@OP No just no no no.
How about no
Reading over after my own argument with him, I can respect the OPs view on the current situation, and see how it's a valid argument. However, I see it from Yoshi-P's point of view as well, as producer and director. FFXIV: ARR is now one of the top leading MMOs out there, if we are going by subscription numbers. So now, he has to act based on this fact.
The dynamic in a typical MMO has always had a rogue/stealth type class. Even more so, the rogue/stealth class is usually one of the more popular ones alongside ranged dps. It would make more sense for him as director to fill this niche as soon as possible, so that players do have that variety and that choice. It also means he can now plan and balance content that adds this new dynamic into the mix. It's a win-win for everyone involved.
The OP comes from the stance that, it will unbalance the order of things because it is a new class; not only is a DPS class, which is most favorable to players, but it's also quite possibly the only job to be added in the interim between 2.4 and the expansion. Also it's a freaking Ninja job, who doesn't like Ninja? To this end, he fears that tanks and healers will outright abandon their roles to flip out and kill things as Ninja. I do believe at this current time and by 2.4 people won't do this enmasse, but it will just be a time period of Ninja leveling esctasy, which will likely last no more than 2 months, then everything goes to normal and order is restored.
I'm glad I can understand the OPs sentiments, but Yoshi-P's stance overtakes this one.

I was looking for a good reason to use this...seems like it can't get better so here we go:

i think speculation that duty finder wait times will be insane is unfounded. if anything, it might make melee dps wait times longer. it might push melee dps wait times closer to ranged dps wait times. but I seriously doubt that wait times will increase to hours.
Everyone that is saying no here: don't come crying when your queue times are 1 hour or longer lolol.
Lala Ninja says NO.

it doesn't matter if ninja is released with a tank or healer class/job the vast majority of players will play DD's the ques for DD's will still go up. tanking and healing require a bit more of this thing called paying attention, and people wanna watch Netflix while running dungeons or w/e... and People will cry people will whine people will get upset and say forget this then go back to their other classes. things will calm down and stabilize, then People like me will level our ninjas after making a boat load of money off of other peoples impatient need of now now now. Happy leveling![]()
