As i have said before, those are ways to deal with the upcoming problem. Thing is, i asking for this to not become a problem from the start. Otherwise the thread will be called: "How are you going to deal with the 2 hours queues once NIN comes arround?"Sounds like OPs opinion and another opinion that is shared by a very few.
How about you appreciate and enjoy the new addtion of a job and find a different way to level up the class once it's released.
You know, like Leves, FATEs, Challenge Log, Party Finder, leftover quests, or making an exp static.

Now you just have to convince the other 98% of forum posters that this is a problem in the first place, good luck with that.![]()

And why i would exactly do that? You are terribly mistaking what is the target of this thread. Im not running an election or a vote here, im not asking for sings or anything, and specially not to that 98% of the forum users.

Haha, correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the whole point of a petition to find like minded individuals willing you agree with you in order to achieve some goal? Why call it a petition if you don't care what other people think?

First i have already found like minded individuals in this thread. A clear minority, which i knew before even hiting post it would be small, in fact, i thought i was going to be alone here.
Second, is a petition to? the community? im asking the forums posters to delay the NIN introduction till another tank and healers are ready to get into the game?
Not my style to answer this kind of off-topics post, but thats ok for this time i guess.
Thats the case in most MMOs, that you could say is the industry`s way to deal with things. In that case, it sounds like you are simply being reactive instead of being proactive. Everyone will find their way to get to lvl 50 and beyond, espcially if they enjoy the job (or Ninja, or the idea of being a Rogue class in FFXIV). I don't see the point of what you are trying to achieve. Jobs will be added, and this scenario will come up again and again and again in the future. You Petition will not delay or change SE's objective, and life will go on a month or two after 2.4, with things returning to normal.
Gamers and communities have become used to get half coocked, bad preseted, bad implemented not filling content. As if ATMA threads were not enough, we all have just got over it. Is a peculiar way to see how things works. Gamer`s standars have come so low that anything a devolper does is at best: "not bad enough i can keep playing".
There is a reason why this industry is dying, and there is a reason why SE has not being doing well these few years. Lazy development efforts, an indulgent community. FFXIV:ARR has been a really good experience, do not missunderstand, but as times goes by, quality of content has been going down, since devolopers have noticed, that the love for the game makes everything tolerable. Like ATMAs, like PvP, like sightseeing log.

I'm not sure what you were trying to say in the second part there, I edited my original message while you were posting I guess to add "to achieve some goal" which is the real point I was trying to get across.First i have already found like minded individuals in this thread. A clear minority, which i knew before even hiting post it would be small, in fact, i thought i was going to be alone here.

The only way that a petition will achieve its goal is by convincing people that it is the best thing to do for the majority so if you already knew you're the minority, and don't care about convincing other people about your cause, then I really don't see the point of this thread at all. Perhaps you just named it incorrectly or something and just wanted the chance to see if you had a clever idea with no intention of achieving your goal.
As for it not being your style, it's really in your best interest since I'm bumping your thread and I am not insulting you. I'm trying to understand why you call this a petition, yet don't seem to care what other people think if it doesn't align with your own thoughts. Doesn't seem so off topic to me.
What is your vision of well presented content, then? I always here this argument that the industry is dying, yet I still see data that presents top MMOs still in the millions of subscribers (albeit a couple of millions or thousands of subs lost to MOBA style games), despite more and more MMOs being added into the mix. The fact is, people like grinds, people like doing the daily work for a shiny weapon at the end of the road. They also like going into the next grind, and/or using their newly obtained weapon to fight monsters to get a newer, more shiny weapon.Thats the case in most MMOs, that you could say is the industry`s way to deal with things.

FFXIV did not create a new standard, it simply follows standards that are known to work successfully, and created it's own success from it. SE is doing well now, thanks to FFXI still bringing in the numbers from dedicated subbers, and now the newly acclaimed FFXIV: ARR. And delvelopment efforts have been anything but "lazy." Laziness cannot take a very dead and failing MMO, reimage and re-release it, and come out sucessful without some serious work put in. There's a reason why people say FFXIV: ARR set an unheard of precedent with it's sucesss -- it is literally the only MMO that has recovered from it's own initial failings, something unheard of in the MMO community.
The indulgent community however, I will agree with you on.
If you post an opinion in a forum then you have to accept that you're going to get polar opinions as well as ones allied to your own. If you don't want to engage in a debate, then don't start the debate in the first place.

sounds to me like you fail to understand what a petition actually is then. a petition is a form of voting in a way, it is getting people to give their names to your cause.
despite what you think that is what voting is.
to me it sounds an awful lot like you never intended to get people on your side. kinda like you expected people to argue against you
