    Lately at least 80% of the times is lag. Yesterday my FC mates kept on being hit by LandSlides which are ridiculously easy to dodge.
    I'm having lots of problems as well. People see me standing on eruptions on Ifrit Ex while I'm actually running like the other party members.
    I don't know how to solve this problem since it was working fine until last week (Me and my bf tried also to play on a Ps4 and on a Ps3 in the same house with no or minor latency issues).

    I've been using Leatrix for quite sometime now, and it has worked brilliantly until the last patch which created this awful lag.

    Because this is the first fight where magicians (who need to stand still to complete their spells) do not get away with "oh well, I can squeeze in this last spell before I begin to run". The game starts to punish that way too late. I know what I am talking about - took me quite a while to iron out that bad habit.

    People need to be already on the move to avoid plumes. This is hard if you haven't memorized the pattern and that's why DF groups often have people getting hit by it. I don't think most people get hit because of lack of skill. To me it happens every now and then when what I see on screen and what's happening on the server are out of sync.

    Hard mode was fun EX seems impossible in DF. not anyone's fault but the systems'
    Everyone goes in DF to train but getting a clear is still something I have yet to accomplish. I haven't even gotten to the adds phase yet in EX. Hard I cleared on my first try in DF.

    I haven't done Titan since forever, but I have an occasional lagspike which makes me unable to dodge certain things.. It's not entirely on my end either.. My internet used to be really unstable, but I got that solved with some help from my provider's tech support. Then I installed WTFast as well, which actually helps a lot with most MMOs, but somehow with ARR it's not as effective. Take ESO for example, I used to have a lot of lagspikes, but using WTFast took those spikes down to almost zero. With ARR however, while they're drastically lowered, I still get a whole bunch of spikes during an evening's play.

    My average ping is around 120-130 from Europe with WTFast, but the spikes can take it up to 500 easily. A spike right before Titan does a landslide means insta-death

    Putting aside the lag issues, which are a real factor, there's also the fact that most MMO players aren't used to twitch reaction mechanics. Admittedly, you can learn the rotation for Titan and know when those plumes are coming, but it still depends on your ability to start moving as soon as they appear. Particularly in EX where if you move too early you get someone ELSE killed.

    It's a really steep learning curve when you generally play RPGs where reaction times aren't a factor x.x

    I feel like SE could "borrow" some of Wildstars ideas here. For those that don't know, Wildstar relies on telegraph attacks for everything.
    Now, i get similar Latency on both games. But on Wildstar, even with the shorter (1 second) cast times on some skills, i can easily get out of the way. The reason is twofold:
    -Sprint is a toggle.
    -double tapping a move key executes a dodge roll in that direction.


    The dodge roll will take me from the middle of the circle to the inside edge of the circle, and then i can easily toggle sprint on for a moment to burst out in time.

    On XIV, I'm required to haul my arse from dead center all the way out in 1.5 - 2 seconds. If my latency was under 100, no problem. But at a 240 - 270 latency, it creates a 250~ ms gap between the Spell being cast and my client putting up the telegraph. Followed by a 250~ms delay in telling the server i moved. So i'm already "late" by half a second. Even though I make it fully out of the telegraph 'just in time' visually, the server doesn't see that, and still thinks i'm inside it. BAM, I'm hit.

    The fix is actually simple. Swap our current Sprint effect from a 30 second cooldown that drains all our TP (lol casters don't even care, i keep it up on cooldown on my SCH for Titan because, well, i CAN) into a button that when pressed and held, provides that Sprint speed, but consumes TP while active. Allowing me to use it to GTFO the death puddles, even with my somewhat painful Latency.

    If you are only talking about today then it could very well be lag. The servers are still fucked up even after the maintenance.

    Sick of the lag excuse. In most cases, it's not lag. It's skill. Slow reactions. Tunnel vision. Not knowing what to do.

    Bomb boulders is a good example. People aren't sure what to do and follow others. BZZZ. That won't work. They're moving 1-2 seconds before you see them do. When you follow, you're 1-2 seconds too slow and will get hit. You cannot rely on others on where to move to. You have to know yourself. This isn't a lag issue. It's a skill issue.

    Could it be related to the new feature they have added to the chat log? I've noticed that switching from a tab to the next one takes some time and the game actually freezes a little ...
