With the new class - Rogue - this opens up new Job opportunities.
Ninja is the confirmed Job so far and I am speculating as below for new jobs.
Rogue + Archer - Gunner?
Rogue + GLD - Dark Knight?
Rogue + MRD - Samurai?
Rogue + CNJ - ???
Rogue + THM - Red Mage?

Your thoughts?

Is that a new zone right at the start when they're just standing there? The vista is similar to Brayflox's Longstop, you can see the first Coil structure in the distance, but the area looks nothing like Brayflox's Longstop. Don't recognize it at all from areas currently in game. Central La Noscea, perhaps? We are meant to be getting new zones in 2.3 or soon according to E3...

Also, the most pressing question; What animal with Rouge/Ninja dress up as in PvP? Hopefully a dog, to pay homage to Shadow, Interceptor based armor. Might be too close to Wolf, which Thaumaturge got, but then Pugilist and Archer are pretty close with Hawk and Bird.

To me that looks like Mor Dhona (the corrupted crystals, the pieces of Dalamud in the distance, the wrecked Garlean Juggernauts lying around), and given the fact Abriael's summary actually stated that they're implementing a new 'frontier' zone to Mor Dhona, I'm guessing that is it:

With the patch that will implement the Frontier area close to Mor Dohna we’ll be able to see what happened to the areas that were destroyed by Dalamud.

For this, my money's on the missing 'southern' area of Mor Dhona, around where Camp Brittlebark was in 1.0. I admit I can't wait!

I'm still waiting on them to confirm what the new race will be. Thursday is part 2 of the live letter, so hopefully we get more answers. Other than that, the ninja hype is pretty real. I mean...how can you not get hyped over being able to stab Ifrit's eyes out?

That's the zone shown in the new trailer, which is very clearly southern Mor Dhona, or more likely Carteneau Flats, seeing as that's where Dalamud fell and that zone seems to have a LOT of pieces of Dalamud, not to mention Garlean wreaks from the battle.

The one in the Rouge/Ninja video is clearly La Noscea. You can see the crystal structure at Agelyss Wise in the background, meaning it's either north of Eastern La Noscea, or to the west (so Central La Noscea), or Brayflox, but it really doesn't look like that to me... I'd discount it being Eastern La Noscea, because Agelyss Wise looks more like how Pharos Sirius looks from Upper La Noscea; it's clearly in the far distance. The angle makes me think its from a Central La Noscea zone though, unless it is Brayflox.

I am disappointed too, I was looking forward to Thief as a job T__T HOPEFULLY they could make it a job later on, I was a THF in 11 and I just love them dual daggers. Ninja never appealed to me as much. Rogue looks so cool though. I'm a sad panda.

uhm...Rogue is class, Ninja is the job, so Ninja will play the same way as Rogue does...So if you like Rogue, you'll like Ninja...
It's like saying, oh i don't like DRG; LNC looks awesome though! -.-
Also Rogue and Ninja will look exactly the same...aside from Relic/AF. But's who's gonna use AF, for long? you'll get a Soldiery set, or share sol gear with MNK. Unless ofc you glamour AF/Myth onto that stuff. Rogue/Ninja will both look good in MNK High Allagan gear.

Rogue Dual wield daggers....gunner, DRK,SAM, ???, RDM, doesn't
I would guess all of those would come from new classes.
I could maybe see Blue Mage coming from Rogue...some wild-rogue like person, that mimic beasts. Hacking and slashing at stuff, and suddenly...Sharknado.
