There's a bit of confusion. Are Rogue and Ninja different classes, or Jobs from the same class (Thief?)
Surely it's not that class is Rogue and job is Ninja..

Yes. Rogue is class. Ninja is job. No 2nd job announced for Rogue.
I'm more nervous that both are going to stem from Musketeer. I don't want a gunner tank :P
Really hoping that THF will be the Rogue tank but not implemented until the expansion!
Thief = Dual Wields, moves quickly and is nimble/agile.
Ninja = Dual Wields, moves quickly and is nimble/agile.
So you want a dual wielding agile class...instead of a...dual wielding agile class..??? I'm confused.

valid point but some people are more concerned with aesthetics.
if classes weren't so useless, i am sure people would play rogue instead of going ninja and be happy.
I can agree with that. I've always wanted to see SE implement a way of having Classes be more useful other than a means to a Job.

See that is the thing that confuses me. Looking at the Rogue, the outfit the miqote is wearing almost looks like the thief AF in FFXI. I don't remember them exactly saying that Rogue was the class for the job thief or what. Unless they said something about it when I was pulled away from watching to eat dinner for 15 minutes.
Here is a pic from the af:

How did you miss that this is the case? It's plainly said(In the videos that were linked, and on the lodestone page. I'm not quoting them for you) that Rogue is the class and Ninja is it's Job.
I have within me the blood of legends!
