WHM or SCH?

I'd say - Swiftcast after 50. Because of myth / soldiery from various roulettes. Main story and low DR can be easily done without Swiftcast. I even healed Praetorium solo in AF gear (2nd healer d/ced). As long as at least half of a party know what to do, not too hard.

Each healer roll has it's own way to shine and a different way to heal. The goal is to find what resonates with "you". Whether your friends feel you should be one or the other, the goal here is to go as simple as you can when thinking about this.
With your healing, do you like to stop damage from happening, or do you like to react to damage as it happens. Whm is a reactionary healer, having big forward numbers to perform healing as damage happens. Scholar is a preventative healer, working to mitigate damage with clever use of shields and special healing abilities. They don't get the "big" numbers that whm does, but they heal before the damage happens to prevent the damage in the first place.
Which resonates more with you? in my case, I have a preference of whm, however I have good friends that are amazing scholars, both are in demand, just find your place!

Scholar is the way to go for more bang for your buck. A side kick healer when combined with you outhealing a white mage for half the mana cost by somtimes 2x the pure healing output. Strong utility/absorbs/dps/strongest single target heals. Only thing a white mage has for it right now is superior aoe heal which is not really needed when every fight a scholar can get everyone up in health in seconds.

Vlady seems to have something against WHMs. A skilled and well played WHM can be just as great as a SCH. I play both and have cleared all end game content in one of the top groups on my server as both. Pick the style you enjoy most

I main both scholar and white mage. I love both of them in different ways. White mage's heals are bigger and more straightforward. Holy is awesome. They get the better version of Protect and Stoneskin. They get two versions of a regen heal.

Scholar is very fun, more actual fun than white mage, IMO. But with that, they're a little more complicated to play because you're actual heals aren't as strong as white mage (meaning no Medica, no Cure II and no Cure III) and regen is limited (Whispering Dawn). However, I love scholar and have so much fun playing mine. The fairiy is an awesome companion.

Try both, play the one you like most. I'm a whm, would like to try SCH but leveling ACN is boring so I'm taking my time.

I am sure you should make a SCH if you are not sure SCH or WHM becasue make a SCH will get a SMN for free ^^
