If you want to do very good damage, I would get used to not replying on macro's like this.

Also, learn when you should be using Bane, Fester and Virus, as that 2nd macro is really messy imo. (meaning I have no idea when you would be wanting to use the skills in that order)

For soloing big things at low level:
    /micon "Physick"
    /ac "Physick" <pet>

    I have one Raise/Resurrection macro for WHM/SCH/SMN:
    /micon "Swiftcast"
    /ac "Swiftcast" <me>
    /ac "Resurrection" <mo>
    /ac "Raise" <mo>
    /ac "Resurrection" <t>
    /ac "Raise" <t>

Very rare occasion that you'll need to toss a heal out but when you do:
    /macroicon "Physick"
    /ac "Physick" <mo>
    /ac "Physick" <t>

Pet buffer (I see some people putting Enkindle at the end but I prefer a separate button):
    /micon "Rouse"
    /ac "Rouse" <me>
    /ac "Spur" <me>

    Standard:
    /micon "Shadow Flare"
    /ac "Swiftcast" <me>
    /ac "Shadow Flare" <me>

Otherwise I also put in Raging Strikes with my rotation starter. I also agree with others not to macro attacks with other attacks. The wait time in between them may not seem like much but with it rounding up to 3 seconds you're losing half a second. That's one cast every 5 casts that your missing out on. Not very noticeable on trash but bosses it starts rearing its ugly head. This is before counting any spell speed buffs you get from your gear or from SCH.

shadow flare, res, summons. The only things you should be macroing if you intend to play endgame. Do not use macros in coil for any active attack skill or buff.

If you're just doing smn for dungeons or random other stuff then it doesn't matter much.

Definitely no need to Macro Skills on Summoner other than <tt> for Virus and E4E and SC for SF and Raise. Making macros for pet skills and Place is a good idea too. I line my pet bar up with my action bar but will occasionally click Away by accident.

There isn't really a rotation. You just want to make sure your DoTs are up on as many mobs as you can. Cast Bane to spread them to up to 3 other mobs within range.
Using Garudas Contagion to extend their timers before Baning is ideal as well as using Raging Strikes while placing them.
Bio 2, Miasma, Bio is the ideal order to place the DoTs if you are spreading them.
Make sure to use Garuda on Obey to make the most of her skills.
Don't use Miasma II on single target unless you can extend it with Contagion.
That's mostly it other than just learning the fights and knowing when to make the best use of your skills and Pet skills.

Eeew, sequence macros for SMN? Good lord... The combat is boring enough spamming Ruin I as is... Now, you truly wish to just stand there? Well, don't expect maximum DPS from cruise control lol.

You should note that there isn't really a rotation for the SMN class. It's just a list of priorities. You need to prioritize what you need to upkeep to maximize your DPS. Rotation based classes are classes or jobs like DRG. DRG has such a tightly knit rotation, that if you screw it up, your DPS will plummet. Same with the SMN class-- mess up your priorities and your DPS will be worthless. As for advice on figuring out your priorities... I'll give you a hint: It involves doing something with your DoTs. Hahahaha.

Its a very very bad habit to develop macro's like that. Things like /ac eye for an eye <tt> so you can toss out an eye for an eye on the tank without having to target him and waste time are good examples of a macro. Anything with /wait is usually going to be bad unless its followed by a chat command.

There isn't much spamming of Ruin considering it's around 15% of our damage only.
