I remember taking boat rides as a lower level in FFXI, I would be afraid to walk up top if I wasn't with someone I knew that had raise.

I loved that feeling. Felt like I was a weak little traveler cowering below deck and hoping one day to become strong enough to venture out into the open and breathe in the fresh sea breeze without fear.

I also loved the feeling of being one of the earlier high levels in our AF and having the lower levels peek out of the cabin and gaze at us in awe, because they felt safer with hardened warriors around them.

Felt more immersive.
