    Ladies and Gentlemen: Machinist

    Hello, everyone! Who is up for a really crazy idea tonight?!

    During a(n ongoing) discussion with another ARR on /xivg/, the possibility of making and piloting Magitek Armour became the main topic and I wonder what the game would be like if an Engineer (ENG) or Machinist (MCN) class/job was introduced. Now, this idea is still being brainstormed so it will look rough at first (I'll probably edit this post once I got some of the finer details worked out. Essentially, this is what I would like to see should the mods (or the dev team) read this thread.

    1) An Engineer class that specializes in making machines for various scenarios.
    2) A Machinist job (ENG main, with maybe a Corsair? sub, or other way around) where you not only make your own Reaper, Vanguard, Colossus, or Weapon, but pilot it too.

    The introduction of Engineers and Machinists can bring variety to party makeup and economy to the DoH classes. For example:

    -ARM can make frame parts
    -BSM can make weapons and solid ammunition
    -GSM can make support parts
    -ALC can make fuel and liquid ammunition

    Again, bear in mind that this idea is still in its rough stages, but feel free to share any thoughts and ideas you may have that could make ENG and MCN a thing. See y'all around!
