Yes, this would actually be quite a nice addition to the game. As for the "going out of their," the reward is supposed to make it worth while for them.

He is simply saying that the players that are stuck with the lackluster players and cannot progress would like the help of the seasoned players that can make short work of the instances so progress can begin again instead of being stuck for weeks on end because people just cant seem to figure out that the big circle under you means run the fuck away.
There will never be anything past duty roulette bonus and a simple thank you from newer players.
It's more so selfless good deeds. If you are not helping ppl out of good intentions then u shouldn't be helping at all as you are only trying to help yourself. This applies to carrying as no one knows who will get carried in a fight till they actually run the fight with that party/ people, unless they are mercs and are carrying via paid runs/ clears.
Tldr : you help / carry if you want to but don't expect to get any rewards outside of the ingame completion bonuses and other player's gratification via thank yous or commendations.

I.e garuda ex > titan ex > ifrit ex > king mog and levi ex.
The only fight that is gated is T5 > T6 .
Gear peogression on the other hand.

I personally have to disagree with there being incentive for "carrying" somebody through a fight, you shouldn't need a reward for helping somebody.
Honestly, if there was something like that added for helping a new person people would be more harsh on them if they don't get the clear and bash on them for wasting their time and not getting myth out of it.

I still disagree with this ...people have statics for a reason to learn and clear together!!
Shouldn't the only reason to help someone be from the goodness of your heart? Since when does helping need incentive.
I can understand giving incentive for people to run the DF, like they did with Roulette, but that's about it. Like open up a BCoB1 Roulette and a EX Primal Roulette.

I think you need a "reality check" here. There's no reason that anyone should be carried through any sort of substantial content. There's absolutely no real reason forcing people to do Extreme Primals, Coil, etc besides gear and the challenge of the content. If they're not good enough to do it on their own then why should they get carried? They need to do what everyone else who has cleared it as a group has done; learn the fight after practicing it. If they can't beat it with the group they have then they need to look elsewhere or replace the weak links in their existing group and keep at it until it's cleared. If they can't beat an encounter then they don't deserve to be doing the later content.E.G. 500 myth points for completing turn 5 with someone in the group who hasn't defeated it before.
I don't even know why there's a duty finder for fights like Titan EX, Leviathan EX and turn 5. They never succeed.
Give experienced players a reason to help other players through the content please that doesn't involve selling a run.
All offering a huge incentive like 500 myth for a clear run does is flood the newer content which is gated by older content with players who don't know how to play their job and can't react to mechanics.
