Exactly what I said in my reply. They also need to change them though. "Entry" accounts can't use game cards, they cause Legacies to overpay, and they don't cover Retainers, Fantasias, or FFXI at all since they're just "time" and not a crysta or dollar value.

it isnt so much that people have a panic or aversion to debit cards.Sincere question here, just wanna know.
Why do everyone seem to have panic to debit cards? i have been using a debit visa since i was 16, when i started playing ffxi, i only pay like 3-8$/year for it, and that account only holds money for online payments.
If you're under 18 or 21 depending on your country, you can open an account with an adult.
SE's account payment system rejects a lot of cards that have nothing at all wrong with them so many people end up stuck.
atleast with the Ultimate Game Cards people could pay to play the game.
If SE doesn't have or come up with a solution to replace the UGC that isn't those time cards they are going to end up losing a lot of cash flow.

So will this be affecting Ultimate Pay (via paypal) as well? if so Im screwed.
kinda hard to use CC or debit card when SE wont take your money to pay for the game.Sincere question here, just wanna know.

No just Ultimate Game Cards and Ultimate Points. Unfortunately some people have trouble getting a payment to go through with paypal on Ultimate Pay too so I'm thinking that isn't a solution for many who rely on the UGC

I'm screwed. SE has been rejecting my any card I use since January. If there's no alternative put into place, I'll be forced to stop playing this game.
Buying USD UGC was always the cheapest method from Canada, but if it's a choice between <not playing game I like> and <paying an extra $1/mo via 60d timecard> of course I'm going to use the cards. The cards are sold 1:1 USD:CAD disregarding exchange rate, so it's still quite comparable to paying directly.

Well, better stock up on cards on August. Buy half a year's worth, that should be enough time for SE to get a new Prepaid service.
I see where people are coming from and sucks for those that use UGC but UGC is a private company owned by VISA not SE, why does SE get all the flack for what other companies do?
