we still have other option like ultimate pay don't we? UGC has been my primary way also since 1.0, so sad with this news

UGC is UltimatePay's codes for Ultimate Points. after October 31'st we wont have Ultimate Points to work with. we can still use Ultimate Pay for paypal/Visa/Mastercard purchases. but what about those of us who don't trust paypal and dont have access to a credit/debit card?

As long as I can still use UltimatePay to pay with Paypal, I think I am going to be okay... Can't speak about anyone else. But perhaps you could buy those 20 dollar Visa or Mastercard Pre-Paid Credit Cards and use those to pay for your subscriptions?

if we can find one without a fee attached to it. most of those prepaid visa cards have a fee.
some even charge you a fee every time you use them.

That said, SE should really just make the game cards be enough crysta for two normal months of a subscription and be done with it.

That doesn't help those of us with the Extra-Retainer Service, now does it?

No they don't. At least the one I got as a Christmas gift didn't. They literally have 20 dollars on them that you are free to use at any time.

Unless you are talking about Pre-Charged Credit Cards that parents set up for their kids? Those yes, do have a Fee. But the ones I am talking about are the ones that you buy in Grocery Stores.

Honestly, kinda don't understand their logic at all.

"We're going to support game currencies by removing an existing way to pay for them!"

Actually, I probably do understand their reasoning but this is still, probably, the worst way for them to do it. Edit forthcoming with my thinking:

its a badly executed move, removing the only payment choice for many people before the new solution is in place. to me that is a bit like pulling the tires(tyres) off a car then trying to drive down the in the very same car street to get new ones.

ofcourse I'm still of the opinion that rather than doing time 60 day cards for FFXIV they should have done 1500 and 3000 crysta cards

I see where people are coming from and sucks for those that use UGC but UGC is a private company owned by VISA not SE, why does SE get all the flack for what other companies do?

Whatever SE uses to verify/accept credit or debit cards is reason why we were forced to use UGC in first place. I just want to give them my money but they don't make it easy with the constant error codes.

I believe it PlaySpan the system they use which is also the company that controls UGC
