Its one thing to spiritbond battle items in a dungeon. Its another thing to spiritbond crafting/gathering items (essentially going with nothing in that slot), which is the main complaint in this thread.what this really seems like to me is that people are just angry over the fact that some players are skilled enough to perform their jobs without needing full BiS gear. also they are lazy and cant be bothered to spiritbond their own gear so they try to rain on the parade's of those who try to make the most out of everything they do.
Extremes aside.Oh in that case, if i ever bumped into you in DF after queing as tank, ill switch to full crafting gear to SB. Is that ok?
Obviously that is what I meant! not 1 -2 accs as crafting gear >.<
Full left side in lvl 50 Patricians crafting gear. Right side full accs. How is that not intentto cause trouble? And yes, Ive seen it!
Would you be kicking and reporting a person who queued into a dungeon in with two crafting accessories equipped?
Of course not, stated that before. Its those who go full crafting gear. DId you read my post you quoted and not just the first line?
Quoted the part you obviously missed.

Ok, just wanted to be completely sure of where your stance was.
You're like me, and you're ok with things, as long as they are done within reason.
I didn't miss it. I wanted something a bit more straightforward and plainly worded. Mainly, because of the way you interpreted Camate's post.

people actually do this? i will regularly SB stuff that isnt geared towards my class such as crafting gear or dex gear on my tank but to go in without some measure of gear its just dumb. you wouldnt be able to SB much if you cant hold aggro or cant stay alive long enough to actually kill something
i think the case you guys are presenting is bordering on sensationalism and would be such a rare and extreme case that maybe a vote kick was justified but im just not seeing it as being such a widespread problem that we need to punish or impede all spiritbonders. i have yet to encounter one person in full patricians gear actually trying to SB in a dungeon. that just sounds absurd
i fill up my accesories with random crap, ill admit that. generally my main armor slots will at least be some kind of combat gear and my wep is still i90+
I have >.< a WHM was the last in CM. easy dungeon, but people where dropping like flies because he was grabbing every single mob from everywhere to SB and then, as the other healer was new, could not keep up with healing as the tanks where trying to grab the mobs he kept pulling. He got kicked a couple of times and kept rejoining until another healer got in before.i think the case you guys are presenting is bordering on sensationalism and would be such a rare and extreme case that maybe a vote kick was justified but im just not seeing it as being such a widespread problem that we need to punish or impede all spiritbonders. i have yet to encounter one person in full patricians gear actually trying to SB in a dungeon. that just sounds absurd
Not saying its common. Only seen it 4-5 times in total. But never underestimate stupidity and selfishness.
As sad as it is to say, it does happen, though rarely. I've seen DPS in CT doing this. It wasn't too bad because it was just on minor pull segments (like the beginning), but I seriously wouldn't put it past anyone to think they're fine doing it all the way through. Heck, we've had people in this thread admit to the majority of their gear being crafting/gathering during things (true or not). Tanks that I've seen go with the SB stuff use relevant i55 gear and the like, decent stuff to get the job done. Those are things that I'd hope people wouldn't complain much about.
Honestly, it's just a matter of people understanding to not go overboard with it. If you're going to go all out with crafting gear, realize that you're essentially taking advantage of your group to carry you through everything, as per the argument where if everyone in the group did it, you wouldn't make any progress. If it's just a reasonable degree (some accessory slots and such), then whatever... no big deal, especially if it's relevant combat stat gear. If, for whatever reason, even that is causing problems for the group, then just don't do it for that situation. It's not a big deal. Namely when you consider that it's potentially FASTER to spiritbind either solo or in groups in the open world.
personally I think if people want to SB in DF they should use PF to premake the whole party not PUG DF or DR
Do you mean gear you crafted or gear with gp and cp on it? If it's a couple pieces with real combat stats I'll still call you a lazy fuck who needs to stop mooching off other people but will put up with it. If you're coming in there with GP and CP gear I'll immediately kick and report you since you're not wearing anything and are only going to drag us down. You wanna SB do it with just a few pieces and do it with real gear.
