This is true. For some reason people don't know this. I've joined in progs and they say "We are voting to ban at 15 mins" and I have to tell them they can just leave..
Duty roulette should prioritize filling groups in progress before making new groups.
Then it requires a redesign on how they want us to get gear. Also, lets admit that we want that anyways.
The game should really fill any current groups missing someone, before they begin making brand new parties. Concerning roulette, all they have to do is make it so that you get a further modified bonus(you join in progress and fight only last boss) or the bonus isn't applied and you get another chance at a full run. Also, give the player some kind of bonus anyways, if I join in progress for brayflox, and have to run to the aiatar and heal the fight, and that's it, then give me a huge chunk of xp, to make up for not getting to do the whole dungeon.
There are plenty of dps that despair as soon as a tank/healer leaves, because "nobody joins in progress" and considering dps queues, that really sucks for them.
I like the idea of a tiered bonus system. +1The game should really fill any current groups missing someone, before they begin making brand new parties. Force "join in progress" on people, and people will stop using the DF and DR completely.
I don't select "join in progress" because I DO NOT WANT to join at a random point of the dungeon.
Same here, I do not want to join a in progress dungeon. I want to run the whole thing to get the maximum number of tomes out of it.
I also don't want to suffer through your failed group, if your healer dropped it was for a reason and I don't want to be part of that reason.
True to a point, but healers/tanks/dps drop cause there bad too. I don't mind being the healer that can actually keep the party up during the last boss or the tank that can keep hate and I know what I'm doing.Same here, I do not want to join a in progress dungeon. Which is why the whole system should be tweaked.
We need a system that still rewards you fully for joining something that is already at final boss, or at second boss etc. Would you be against force join in progress if you got full reward from it? There would still be gaming of the system, but to help fix that, you change the ui completely, no more indicators of dungeon progress before joining, no job listings. It just says, "success!" and your screen goes black and boom you load into dungeon, with a fixed leave penalty, which regardless if someone else had left prior, if you zone in fresh, you shouldn't be able to leave immediately and not get a penalty.
I always join in progress, because I don't mind playing the game. I just hate that current join in progress doesn't queue full replacements, there's nothing better than zoning into a dungeon that has one dps just sitting there.
