Force "join in progress" on people, and people will stop using the DF and DR completely.
I don't select "join in progress" because I DO NOT WANT to join at a random point of the dungeon.

Same here, I do not want to join a in progress dungeon. I want to run the whole thing to get the maximum number of tomes out of it.
I also don't want to suffer through your failed group, if your healer dropped it was for a reason and I don't want to be part of that reason.
True to a point, but healers/tanks/dps drop cause there bad too. I don't mind being the healer that can actually keep the party up during the last boss or the tank that can keep hate and I know what I'm doing.Same here, I do not want to join a in progress dungeon. Which is why the whole system should be tweaked.
We need a system that still rewards you fully for joining something that is already at final boss, or at second boss etc. Would you be against force join in progress if you got full reward from it? There would still be gaming of the system, but to help fix that, you change the ui completely, no more indicators of dungeon progress before joining, no job listings. It just says, "success!" and your screen goes black and boom you load into dungeon, with a fixed leave penalty, which regardless if someone else had left prior, if you zone in fresh, you shouldn't be able to leave immediately and not get a penalty.
I always join in progress, because I don't mind playing the game. I just hate that current join in progress doesn't queue full replacements, there's nothing better than zoning into a dungeon that has one dps just sitting there.
I don't believe it for a second. Every other mmo on the planet filters you into dungeons based on what is needed, not whether or not you personally feel like a fresh run. Duty roulette is just that, a roulette (like "random" dungeons). The tool picks, not you. SE trying to reinvent the wheel by allowing people to choose whether they can be filtered into a partially complete run or not has done nothing but cause groups to have to disband because of lack of members, driving queue times up as those people reenter the queue to start over again. You are voting against your own best interests with a comment like that.
All these growing pains have already been done in other mmos. Every single one has been addressed in "that other game". I guarantee in 6 months or less SE is going to come to the same conclusions. Duty finder will filter people based on need, you'll still get your bonus if you are filtered into a 3/4 run, and no one will be able to see where the group is at and withdraw. You will still get a guaranteed "fresh" run if you pick a specific dungeon, and queue times will decrease as people are completing content instead of having to re-enter the queue prematurely.
As far as the OP, that's kind of what I started doing - not using that check box at all. After my 6th queue in a row into an empty Stone Vigil I just gave up. It was nice of them to give us choice, but it causes too many actual problems with completing content and that's why other games don't do it.
We don't seem to have the same experience.
I almost always find replacement. Earlier in AK, got a healer after 3 minutes.
In cutter's cry, a tank in 10 minutes.
