What's the point in asking the developers questions when their answers only lead to more questions?

So rather than get patch 1.18 in July we're gonna get a fluff piece on the Lodestone about the community reps taking a field trip to Japan?
I don't want to live on this planet anymore.

This is the same excuse we got when we wanted answers on Lost... *shakes fist* xD "No point answering anything seeing as you'll just want to know more"... o.O so they turned around and said everything was just about the characters and the answers didn't matter... hmm, maybe they're distant relatives of SE^^![]()

I can already see it happening... The group photo outside some ramen place and the cheesy questions like "What's your favorite band?" or "How did you end up working in videogames?" and the ridicolous responses that slowly kill you inside while you read them.
You know, the kind of stuff you buy a $60 CE of a game for.

Hey, hey, now calm down
The European community reps are very motivated and ask the devs a lot of our questions, so even though I'm kind of sure they are in Japan because of work, I wouldn't begrude it to them if it was just a nice field trip.
Also, as far as I know there weren't any (or at least few) questions like this posted.
So maybe the devs will answer some of the game related questions when they see that's all the players wanna know about (although that it actually kind of rude of us).

Gotta agree with Atoli on European mods being really motivated to answer our questions.
They just told the truth, questions about the future would only get "We'll look into this" kind of answers.

I would like to know what each dev team members' favorite kind of ramen is, and what their thoughts are regarding the new Transformers movie.
Also, if they ate ramen while watching it, and if so, what is their favorite physical characteristic of Michael Bay.

no it is not rude at all. i don't care what hobbies the guy on the assembly line building my car has. i care about the car they are building because that is the product i am after. if they were a friend i'd look at it otherwise, but they are a company making a product that they want us to pay for so they should be treated as such.Hey, hey, now calm down

This is kind of a forced example, but..if there is a famous musician, most people mainly care about the music he's making, because that's what they want to buy (does not matter if they buy CDs or songs from the Itunes store).
Still, there's a big group of people interested in the likes and dislikes of this person, his hobbies, pets, whatever.
Game developers may not be celebrities, but maybe someone really is interested in this stuff?^^°
