About i50 spiritbonding

This might be a noob question, but can i spiritbond doing quicksynthesis? i am guessing not but asking anyway.
And what are the factors involving spiritbonding for lvl 50 items? recipe lvl? recipe difficulty?
Tips would be appreciated

Go urths gift in duh shroud and make a spiritbonding party. I usually equip a full set of i45 crafting gear on my BLM and just wear my staff. WHM holy and BLM flare is usually enough to clear a full set of mobs.

Quick synthesis is possible for spiritbonding items but like what Sessurea said, it's better to spiritbond them at either northern thanalan or urths gift with a party (latter is more preferable due to ideal level and the more valuable drops by the enemies there). You gain the same amount of bond % but you defeat more enemies in a party.

I spiritbond all the time with quicksynth while working on my luminary, with +6 spiritbond equipment and 2 materia slotted into every piece it takes just under 3 stacks to max out spiritbond. I use the Cobalt ingots leve for ARM to get rid of the stuff when I've finished and most of the time come away with more mats than I started with.

I also do this everyday while working on my Luminary achievements. The shards is the expensive/time consuming part. If you have 4 DOL retainers at 50 you can have them gather up 120 shards every 40min which does add up. Shards is the 1 downside to Spiritbinding via quicksynth. However it is somewhat faster and you can do other things in real life at the same time so its good depending on your situation.

SB rate goes by level of equipment compared to level of recipe or mob. If recipe/mob is 15 level or below level of equipment you earn none. Increases if higher.

I'm pretty sure it's 20 levels, not 15. Also:

HQ gear gets about a 20% boost
each materia in the gear gives about a 20% boost
spiritbonding+1 gives about a 5% boost (Spiritbonding+1 gear isn't normally worth it, but +2 is barely)
HQ/NQ/quick synthesis all spiritbond at the same speed

Just keep in mind one thing, if you are SB'g via crafting items, you *may* want to shoot for HQ as at least you can recoup some gils back.

No I don't gather them but you get plenty of shards back from the leve anyway. It can be quite self sustaining but not always, depends on the rewards you get. The real money maker is the spiritbonding though.
