What I gathered is that OP wants to know why people don't try "harder" No one said "I want them to play perfect. Know the mathematical formula to maximize their DPS" As it was said before, there is a difference between playing "elite" and knowing how to play your job. If we see someone not playing their job how it was meant to be, then you can politely tell them some friendly advice. Should they ignore it then there is nothing we can do. They chose to ignore it for whatever reason. People here are reading this as "Don't tell me how to play" I can understand that. Not many people enjoy being told what to do. But you yourself need to know your errors too. If you're a monk who is only attacking from the back, you don't think that's wrong? People will see that and will tell you what you're doing wrong. They ain't dictating you, they're offering you advice on how to make a better performance. Now tell me how is that wrong. Tell me how giving people advice is wrong.

Same result at the end. Unless the Monk attacking from behind is preventing objective to meet, there is no problem here.

This argument is so laughable, I can't believe people are taking it seriously.

Well gee I didn't think of that. Perhaps SE should just remove the whole position bonus and just make all attacks into the standard boring 1,2,3 combo. You done us a great service.
