Really don't understand why some people do that in group play. Can't even claim it's because you're avoiding AoE attacks, it's absurdly easy to step out, wait for it to go off, step back in. I can usually pull it off without the mob turning at all.

That happens in dungeons where the tank is tanking a billion mobs, like Brayflox HM. In that situation, pretty much something is using an aoe. So when you move to avoid it, all the mobs that aren't using an aoe are moving. BUt yeah, I make it a habit with small pulls to plant myself and not move unless absolutely necessary.

Forgive me, wasn't clear. I've seen tanks do this with single target pulls. Not necessarily in ARR since I tank myself, but it's something I eventually see anytime I DPS in an MMO. Nothing like being a rogue, getting into position behind a boss and keep re-positioning myself before thinking, "Screw it," and just start my non-positional rotations.

Myself as DRG when a tank decides they want to spin a group of mobs repeatedly:

Why do they do that! Trying to use my anglebased attacks (from the side, from behind) is pretty much impossible when they keep spinning.
