While we can’t say things will change for wearers of the Onion Helm specifically, it seems the team was able to address a couple of hairstyles as illustrated in the below comment from Takeo Suzuki.

And of course we’ll continue to pass along requests like this asking for the development team to make it so certain hairstyles do not get tucked into the hats and helmets that are equipped.
