They've already said there'll be unique items from gutting fish. So I'm imagining something like what ffxi had mixed with 14's crafting system.

Let's hope it will be better than the materia trasmuting or even the quick ventures "lotterry". Glad I've stockpiled almost every single fish I've caught on my alt's retainers ...
