FC Calendar

I would definitely love this. Most of my FC members dont sign upto or use our FC site, and then there's the PS3 players who don't necessarily have easy access to a computer, at least not while playing, to see event times and such. My FC is pretty casual but I always thought if we had an ingame calendar it'd make it much easier to set up some organized events.

Our FC uses Google Calendar. That way they can import it onto their phones if they like.

I also created in a way that allows any user to add their own events through a Google Form submission to a Google Spreadsheet that then adds it the FC calendar. This way non-Google users can use the calendar as well. And it allows me to keep the calendar's permissions locked down to prevent public/anonymous events from being posted.

But yeah if they add a calendar feature in the game that would be awesome, along with permissions for adding/editing/removing events. And for a bonus allow us to access it through either Lodestone or other media devices such as our phones (via standard file formats .ics or .csv.)

Is that how the Calendar functions in WoW? To access the calendar through the Libra App would be amazing. Anything that helps organize your FC in the game makes a big difference when it comes to helping new players.

This, this, this! I have wanted in-game calendars in several MMO's since I stopped playing WoW. Say what you will about that game, but the calendar made things a lot easier for GM's and raid leaders. My FC does utilize a website, but sometimes, getting people to even register there, let alone check it on a regular basis to sign up or see news/events, is like pulling teeth. A calendar with permissions and sign-up/invite groups, and the ability to send FC-wide notifications (since in-game mail is limited to friend list only) would be amazing to have! We can hope that more games, including ARR, will eventually implement the idea as a standard.

At the Moment I am rebuilding our FC Website and I am still looking for a Events/Raid planning System that would be easy to use. However I couldn't find anything yet.
How do you plan your Events and Raids at the Moment? Which Systems do you use? I have found the biggest Problem is the fact of having one character with several classes on it because that's Kind of unique, no other MMO is working that way so most Systems I have seen so far were not really usable. If anyone got an idea of how to implement a useful raid calendar on a FC Website I would be very happy to hear it.

This and/or a bulletin board so we can communicate FC Notices far better than the simple initial login.

Also, the FC House Guestbook someone suggested. Visitors could sign a short message into the book, what a neat idea!

I had a look at google sheets, unfortunately it is not really what i am looking for. at the moment our group leaders are already doing their planning in excel so it would not really improve anything. I am looking for something with a calendar which can be embedded on our FC website. I already had a look at EQDKP however it doesnt support several classes on the same character so you would have to create 9 chars for each player which is kind of stupid. Any other systems you would suggest?
