I wouldn't call it odd, but merely a coincidence.

At a certain point, you have to accept that with the hundreds of spoken languages in existence, you are eventually going to name someone genitalia in another language. Heck, English speaking people name their kids after slang for genitalia.
    ^this.

This is actually a really good topic, as it comes up a lot internally every patch when we introduce new names.

While, like a lot of you have already mentioned, it is impossible to avoid similarities considering the thousands of existing (and extinct) languages on Earth, but we do try to steer clear of things that will come off as offensive in our four main service languages (Japanese, English, French, and German).

This stems from way back in the FFXI days when we introduced a goblin named Fickblix. Needless to say, some of the people at Square Enix's European offices were not that pleased ('fick' being German word for...well, you can probably figure it out), and led to us working out a new system that saw names (that were to be common across all languages, and not translated) go through an approval process by at least one representative from each of our main service languages.

I do apologize, however, if anyone was offended by the Pomburner's unfortunate moniker. It was completely unintentional (if not a tad bit hilarious). Bad Moogle! Bad! Moogle!

I'm just gonna say that combining her actual name's unintended meaning with a double entendre of her nickname leads to amusing results.

There are people in America named Dick Johnson and Harry Wang. Everything is a curse word in some language.

Not gonna lie, I would have remained blissfully ignorant of this had it not been pointed out. :P

That's just my two cents, though. I thought I would have liked to mention that seeing as we users can't post on the thread he made, so I just wanted to put that out there.
There are a lot of words ingame that are suggestive in other languages. Like "Pinga", the leatherworking tool, is slang in Spanish for the male part. I was a bit surprised when I saw it but its nothing to get worked up over. I'm sure its not intentional.

Considering that the rest of the level 50 quest tools are named after gods or mythological beings, I suspect that Pinga is named after the Inuit goddess of the hunt.

As you said itself, SE supports 4 main languages.
I don't think it's a problem if some name appears to be something else in a language you don't support. It's funny? Yes.But oh well, when you start supporting tangalog, you think about that problem.

I doubt SE would support tangalog btw, it's too specific (and I think French and German ARE too specific too).
I bet they would do something broader, like spanish and portuguese.
