Tank have it frustration too. People say Tank never talk and ask if SR or not. But whenever I ask "Full Pull, or half room?" Most of the time it silent or rude respond like "IDC!" If I check and see that we don't have enough DPS or mostly Dragoon and Monk in party I try pull half room. I get complains "Pull more, you are wasting my cool down!" Pull entire room, it is risky and sometime take forever to kill because lack of AOE and DPS is not there.
It just really a mixed bags situation in this Dungeon. Most of the time I try ovoid it and que with friends. Too bad I get this Dungeon all the time in Duty Roulette because it's the new Hot Sauce!

I don't mind doing full room pulls in Brayflox, I DO mind when the tanks do full room pulls with both of the dps as melee. It's not impossible, but I definitely have a lot of work to do.
RIP 2B Butts~~♪♫♪
I just start with 4 mobs by default and see how they respond. Theoretically, if everyone is participating and barring major screw-ups nobody should wipe. If people are geared better I go for 6 mobs. I don't do more unless people request it, because I am not certain my iLevel79 PLD can make it my self, unless the healer gives me the vote of confidence.
My biggest problem as tank it being out-aggro-ed by the BLMs and bards with high level gear see:
http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...rol-your-aggro
But worse yet is you get flak from the DPS about losing mobs because I can't keep up with their aggro.
Hello another Brayflox thread!
It all depends on the gear, doesn't make much difference on the job. I'll admit I usually see more successful speedruns with blm, but if you do have some good melee that are very well geared, they can do as good or better job. This is especially true if they are able to position properly and use their cooldowns correctly, AND the tank isn't moving stuff all over the place for no reason(moving as though they are getting out of a AoE even though there isn't one). That last point gets complicated when dealing with a warrior tank(my main) because in order to make sure overpower hits everything, you sometimes have to move all the mobs so they are all in front of you temporarily.Because when you sit for awhile, they start to spread out. But if you have been in a group where most the highly geared melee dps are just lazy, I can see how you'd think that. Get some guys that pay attention and are geared and you'll be really surprised.
You mean they pulled all including the lemur and the poison plant? I have never seen/been in an SR run like that lol since we always skip those even without WHM/BLM to sleep it, and I heal them all the time as scholar in random DF/PF. If just 10 mobs from the start to the gate even with warrior I never have any troubles at all and I've been in at least 300 Bray HM runs. It's not a big subset but it's enough for me to judge that I can heal there lol.
I have also been in a run when someone (dps/tank) accidentally pull the raptor group and 9 goblins. That's when I have a little bit of trouble, but it's never a wipe/tank death, only really close. PLD does have an advantage there since the hallowed ground duration is enough for me to throw shadow flare, activate rouse/Fey Illum/Whispering dawn/other stuff, but I ask the same of WAR to make use of their holmgang when they feel threatened.
There's plenty of other things that contributes to how the group wipe, tanks that don't use their defensive cooldowns/offensive buff to help dps/healers properly, dps that can't dps enough due to rotation/gear/what have you. Seen so many WAR who doesn't make use of vengeance/holmgang/bloodbath/convalescence. There's only so much we can do as healers if it's only foresight/thrill of battle lol, so it's not just heals, really.
Some runs are actually faster if people pull in small packs lol. Or if it's slower, it's only like, 1-2 mins at the most, making it kind of moot to SR in the first place.

How the heck can people have PROBLEMS in running an instance like Brayflox HM? All it takes is showing up, breezing thru the mobs, AOEing out the little bombs in final encounter and LBing the giant bomb. Wipes, quarrels, rage quits? It's really sad.
Brayflox is kinda the Brain AFK dungeon lol. People ran it so often, they just don't care much about group playing anymore. Speed running it for Myth tomes has taken away the Sunshine from it and some get angry if it is not running the way they know it. Funny is, they expect it to be how they do it without saying more than "Hello". I like Tanks who say "I make 2 pulls" or "I pull them all to the River" or something like that. Healer knows what's coming and has a chance to disagree.
Mythflox HM: Welcome to the endgame farm mode... lol
There are other dungeons? Nope, just Brayflox, if you happen to get another dungeon while in roulette, it's a glitch in the matrix.
The Illuminati trying the steal cheese is the primary storyline in the game, so we must endeavor to prevent them by maintaining our presence in Mythflox constantly. Cheese is why Bahamut sprang from Dalamund after all. He merely wanted a good piece of Gouda.
I'm looking forward to future expansions where we get to go deeper in to Mythflox's territory and learn more about the cheese making process. The lore of the place is amazing.![]()
