Just so anyone doesn't know, repairing via Dark Matter theoretically costs less money than repairing via NPC, the problem is that NPC repairs scale based on durability loss so Dark Matter is only better if your gear is fairly close to being broken. Now that you can repair to 199% though, Dark Matter is not only even more gil efficient, it's more worth it no matter what durability your gear is at.

Please be aware that repairing your own gear will not automatically put your gear at 199% condition. Repairing your gear will simply add 100% to whatever the current condition is. So we'll always gain the full cost-benefit of using Dark Matter.

The repair command window they were referring you to is the exact same layout as the NPC mender's.

I would not currently recommend using repair all with dark matters, however. You'll waste dark matters on pieces which are still at 98% durability and such. Only time I do use this is when I'm on GSM on the currently equipped tab, since the jewelry and glasses will all usually be low at the same time.

Putting the icon to open the menu on your hotbar makes life simpler, also.

For patch 2.28, in addition to adding a nice advantage that will take your equipment durability beyond 100% when performing repairs as a Disciples of the Hand class, we’ll also be making it so that as long as you fulfill the criteria to perform repairs, you can do so without changing your class!
    Fantastic news!!!

Please add the ability to repair someone else's stuff. I don't craft, but I want to get someone else to repair my armor.

Can we call it reinforcing? "Repairing" beyond 100% sounds a little odd if you think about it.
Either way, good concept that helps crafters stay relevant while keeping the repair system from being a hassle.

Do we have source for that?

Otherwise - I also vote for (bringing "back") the option to repair other players gear.

You should definitely add Request Repairs option similar to Request Meld with optional fee.
And ofcourse, Repair All in both cases! The DoH Repair feature should be as easier as possible to use to make it useful.
