If they made healer on the fly casting meaning, being able to cast spells without getting interrupted when you move, I would be more interested in the job.

I mean monsters can hit you and interrupted you but for once I would like to see a healer who can run and cast, with all the dodging you have to do I feel the casters get the short end of the stick.

meaning paladin needs heal on titan but has to dodge rock slide resulting in tank dying, seen it happen many of times, because the healer cant multi task very well.

    You... kinda described SCH.

You also explained why I'd rather not be a WHM.

Also, healing feels like the least repeatative thing to do in FFXIV after playing WoW for so long. There was always a rotation or a priority system with tanking and dpsing. I've learned to like making judgement calls depending on the situation with healing.

edit: well, i'm far from the first person to say that in this thread...

See and that's one reason I really really enjoy healers in this game.

Playing melee with instant-casts and a 2.5 second cooldown annoys me to no-end. Casting makes the GCD not seem so horrific.

I think this would be great, even if it was just a small emergency heal, or a quick HoT (sorta like how you can move and cast Aero since it's a instant-cast spell). Just something so that they could heal on the run while repositioning.

those both exist its called lustrate and regen.

as for me i have a big sister complex....and rotations are boring i like that healing is reactive.
