Atma disappointment social help thread. For those with no luck.

Honestly I think you just don't want more people getting Atma so you feel like a special little snowflake. Well guess what, you're not. Let people leave feedback without decrediting them or telling them to deal with it.

It looks like that saying that people want to feel special is not civil. Be careful! Just kidding. I agree with you and I'd love to hear a good reason for atma drop to stay like this. A few months ago people were complaining about the relic weapon being accessible to not skilled players that couldn't beat hm primal and let themselves carried by fc/party members. Now that progressing with the relic quest relays only on luck those "bad" players can easily get atma and animus but that's just fine.

There are people that love to grind. They really do enjoy it. I'm not even going to wonder why because I'm not them but let them enjoy the content that is for them. People that don't like to grind, there are other weapons you can get that are better without the grind that you call boring. And they are not bad players just because they like going through this route to get a weapon.

I think grinding is something most people have learned to deal with (especially if they're older players or fans of Asian MMOs). I don't have much of an issue grinding, it's more RNG based. Find a grinder, give them 200 hours of grinding the same thing over and over and over with no reward and guess what, the grinder will go grind on a different game where there is reward after putting in 200 hours.

Just because someone likes to grind doesn't mean they enjoy RNG.

It wasn't that bad once I took a different approach to getting the atmas. The longest for me was the atma of the bull, which was my third atma. (6 hours) After that I decided no more mindlessly farming the same area for hours on end. I started to just do a few fates per area, then switched to another until I got one. That actually worked out for me pretty well, I once got 4 atmas within an hour. I'd hang out in an area and do fates until my queue popped and took breaks when it got boring.

I absolutely love a good grind, but that's not what Atma is. Atma is a bad grind. If you spend more time traveling to content than doing content, then something is wrong. What's worse is that by the time you get to a lot of the FATEs they are already done and it's even worse in peak times.

And before someone says it again and to those who have said it before - we want to earn Atma we really do, we just really don't like HOW you earn it.

Just fyi, I said that because you basically made a snide insult directed at anyone who didn't agree with your point of view. The difference between your comment and AmyNeudaiz's comment is that Amy directed it to someone specifically (who is capable of standing up for himself); whereas your comment (again) was directed at anyone across the thread who didn't share your view (which happens to include me).

You're frustrated with the whole Atma farming thing, I get it. However, there is no reason for that kind of response to the thread. Especially, when all some of us are here doing is having a discussion. It's not like I'm here posting snarky insults, because some people don't agree with me.

Looking over your Lodestone profile, I can see we're into different things in-game. As Bizniztyme said, there is different content for players into different things. There is nothing wrong with this. If you don't like the Animus grind, shoot for the Unweathered weapon; or, even the High Allagan, which will still surpass the Novus. Then, you will still have something better than the "bad" players (as you put it), who relied on luck and RNG to get an Atma~Animus.

All you people realize that they are going to continually add in content for upgrading relics, the further you fall behind, like the person who said they are going to pass on animus because they got their mirror, when I can almost guarantee that there will be no more upgrading your levi weapon. There will however be more quests in the relic questline like animus, novus and so on and so forth.
