Getting the atma drop requires NO skill. If you don't want to get your Weather/Unweathered weapon from doing coils, OR you don't want to kill all of the Extreme Mode primals to farm Leviathan for your Weapon and Mirror, OR you don't want to do T9 to get your High Allagan weapon... you can get atma drops that allow you to get an animus weapon.

Yes, it's mind numbing and boring, but it's because you're choosing the path that requires 0% skill. You just have to face roll fates in hopes for a random drop. Even the animus weapon beyond that requires little effort as most of the mobs, fates, dungeons and leves can be done relatively simply anyways. It it no way requires Raid-Level skill.

If you don't want to put the effort in to get the THREE other weapon alternatives, don't complain about the simplicity required to get the atma/animus. If you want to get a level 100+ weapon that badly, apply yourself else where.

Don't forget, with all of the seals you're getting you could make a fair amount of gil selling things like potash.

Iunno, I didn't find the Atma grind to be all that terrible. I'm balking at the cost of Animus books.

Don't think you're done with FATEs once you work on the books, cause now you get to do MORE of them! 3 per book and most of them are based on FATEs that barely show up at all!

Not just that, but content that requires so much patience and luck that when you do get it, you look at it and see just how weak it is compared to weapons from the primals and coil that take half the time to get. I will never understand how an RNG drop based weapon can be WEAKER compared to weapons that can easily drop from a boss mob.

Depends on which server you're on. There are still people (including me) that have yet to pass Titan EX or T5. So sometimes it's not always "faster" to go one route over another.

It's better to ignore the fact that relic weapons even exist anymore past Zeniths since the time you put in for a Atma is only the equivalent of a T5 or Levi Ex weapon then they want you to invest 13.5k myths for a weapon that is still below par to a upgraded Levi Ex weapon. You can wipe for days just to get the weapon and it will still be faster than the Atmas and then farm Levi Ex to get more weapons and mirrors and it is by far faster than getting a Animus but is ridiculously faster if done with a static group looking for the same thing. (About a week with a static group to get one mirror and a leviathan weapon for every class, still beats farming 13.5k myths and waiting on rare FATEs)

Lets all just go back to the way we got af2 in FFXI! 40+ PPL crammed into one lil area that u have to pay to get in for a small chance taht a piece of armor will drop that u have to roll on against 10+ other ppl of the same class! And you can only enter that zone once a week! Lets go back to that.....

Yeah, until the FATE is over by the time they get there thanks to super high geared players clearing them.

Dont tell me well theres other weapons you could get. Yes there is, but the relic/zodiac weapon updates are going to keep coming. A large majority of the community is paying for content (Animus/Novus) that SE is keeping us from enjoying by implementing a stupid RNG element to the atma stage.

No i dont want the relic upgrade to be handed to me. No I dont mind a grind. I want to work for my upgrade. Yesterday I FATE grinded for 4 hours after my daily roulette and have nothing to show for it. While a PLD that join my FATE party received his atma after 15 minutes of joining. How is something like that ok?
