Why keep PS4 players in the dark with this? And no, we aren't talking about 1.23 or anything like that, stop being absurd.

We're talking about a major thing that took place in Realm Reborn, that PS4 players will never, ever be able to do, even when they already ran the event a second time when Realm Reborn launched on another platform, aside from PC.

I guess I just don't understand some of the entitled attitudes that plague MMOs these days. I'm all for them bringing events back but this isn't breaking anyone's gameplay experience and it shouldn't be hindering your enjoyment of the game. If the inability to have lightning hair or garb is really so bad that you are unable to enjoy the game... I hate to say this, then maybe this type of game isn't for you.

There is nothing wrong with asking the dev team to bring this back. That type of feedback is always great. What is wrong is to demand it or assume you are entitled to it.

We do not currently have any plans to hold another Lightning Returns: FINAL FANTASY XIII collaboration event, and we do not have any plans to add Lightning’s hairstyle to the Aesthetician or make it available from event vendors.

This is all that matters. Continuously asking for a limited, promotional event that SE has no plans for will not make it magically appear. Give it a rest.

They simply... cannot do that. These events were a commercial advertisement. Nothing more, nothing less.

Well, they are more. 5 years from now I'll be able to change to Lightning's hair and put on that outfit if I want, and people who missed the even won't. That has nothing to do with advertising at that point.

If it were just gear that'd be one thing, there's already exclusive gear. But to me at least, hairstyles aren't something you should lock people out of. It has a significant impact on your character's look.

everyone has already told you why. the event had nothing to do with xiv ps4 release, it had to do with the release of xiii-lr in JP & america, hence the reason it happened twice. both releases took place before ps4 release, so there is no xiii-lr for ps4, so no event. how is it that complicated?

also calling people elitist just cuz they happened to be paying customers when a company threw a certain event is using it so loosely as to just giving it a new definition

I'm one of the few people in existence that doesn't seem to take the chance to groan and complain about FF-13. I got hundreds of hours of enjoyment out of 13, doing the Cie'th trials and exploring every corner of Gran Pulse. And training and raising my perfect monster party in 13-2. I'm still working on LR because XIV started sucking up a lot of my time at that point. Regardless of how much I liked and did like the games, the crossover elements make the world feel more alive. Actively changing and interacting with other universes. If everyone is so bummed out about seeing one character in another context then you have no right to play Marvel Vs Capcom, or Street Fighter x Tekken, or any other game that has two character bases interacting.

Who gives a flying **** if the explanation for why Lightning was in Eorzea was something that could be picked and prodded at, complaining about more interaction and content to play with is akin to running down a living horse and beating it to death because it was enjoying it's freedom.

If we're going to start complaining about seeing Dragon Quest or XI or anything else in this game from now on, then please stay off the forums so we don't have to hear you complain about how you don't like more content to interact with, some of us actually enjoy seeing it in-game.

I think it is okay to have limited events that essentially come with their own set of limited awards. It adds some allure to the game as there will be items/achievements/etc... that only players during that time can attain. There is nothing wrong with that.

And lets face it, the event wasn't really that special or interesting outside of the rewards that could be collected.

Problem is, the rewards for this event were level 13, basically vanity, and yet you had to be level 45 to complete the whole set. Not everyone was able to do that. I threw as much time at the game as my life would allow on the second run through and still didn't make it to 45 before the event was over.

Same and I really want snows jacket but guess what? Having played MMOS for years and knowing exactly what a LIMITED EVENT IS I knew and know I will never get it. Begging for it because it "isnt fair" is ridiculous. Deal with it.

I think the fact they brought it back a second time was generous enough. They can't keep redoing the event each week because some new subs want Lightning hair.
