365 days a year around the globe people scream about majorities oppressing minorities, unless of course self defined negatively affected others, ones personal definition of toxic, and a repulsive reaction to having fun are factored in.

Then I guess it just doesn't matter any more, funny how shades of gray change on a whim.

Also to be even more clear:

Last week got Garuda HM as my roulette I was on SMN:
    -No biggie
Tank queues in says 'First time, any pointers'
I started typing 'no worries, ask other tank for some quick pointers/ if you should MT/OT'...but never had a chance to enter in in party chat b/c....
2nd Tank queues in says 'I don't know this, first time'

and by the time I had erased my first message to start giving the tank who asked a quick rundown, the 'I don't know this' tank charged in and pulled garuda....without even giving the healers time to finish buffing the group. Another party member had also been trying to explain the battle, but scrambled like me to get into position and start fighting....

Well tanks stood in twisters never moving after Garuda's Astral flow and we wiped.

    So I typed:

'I totally understand wanting to have that 'fresh' experience, but if you're new you really should at least let people give you a couple pointers/explain first'

This was not rude. I did NOT name call. I was honest. I did not rage quit. I did not leave.

The 'rush in tank' started calling me explictives and being a jerk to me.
I typed 'I did not call you names or be mean in any way, I was honest'

Do battle again (tank rushed in as once again another party member was trying to explain battle)
Still the tanks stand in the center of the tornadoes...but this time w/ echo buff the healers were more prepared for that...also the DD's just pulled the sisters off the tanks and burned them instead of dealing with the tanks. One DD did start in caps in party chat 'DO YOU REALLY THINK STANDING IN THE CENTER WHERE YOU TAKE DAMAGE IS WHERE YOU SHOULD BE GO STAND IN THE SHADOWSEAR THE SMN LAID DOWN MARKING WHERE YOU SHOULD BE. The MT (the jerk one) didn't know he had to 'kite' garuda around the edge during plumes. This time, the party saw that they again, weren't moving garuda...but the also saw Me make a run for it to the far side of the safe pocket beyond the tank and all followed suit...so instead of it being tank/garuda/party behind garuda it was party....large gap/garuda/ tank standing in tornadoes again not moving. We did win on the second round, but only because:
    1. DPS was tight and worked together. We only ever killed one satin plume and only saw the sisters 2 times.
-DPS purposefully pulled aggro on sisters and burned them, BLM used LB to kill them perfectly. On Plumes in beginning, I used tri-disaster to bind them under garuda, and blm made short work of them...Melee dd's didn't even have to chase a single plume.
    2. Healers were very skilled and on their A game. (I did help back up heal on SMN a physic or two when it looked like we were gonna lose a healer).

So really all we proved is any knuckle-head can hold garuda while other people work around him to do the work. The only thing the tank had in his favor is he never lost hate on garuda.

At the end, the other DD's laid into the jerk tank. They also cheered on the healers and made it clear that the healers saved it for the tanks. I gave the blm props because I could see what he did that was just awesome.

Now the 'we don't need to look it up' people would say 'see, you all beat in on the second attempt so what's the issue?' My issue is, we only beat it because 6 of us powered through it. Those 'new' tanks...they did nothing to assist with the win, made the party work way harder, and in one case, were actually a jerk about it. But people would rather 'just carry him and be done' than 'teach' him. He didn't learn the fight. He didn't on his own merits win....but the 6 other players also didn't care to waste their time making sure he now could ace the fight. They just wanted out...so yeah we 'helped' them...by carrying them. Other than holding hate, they were useless...

So if you think the only people who are 'abused' are the ones entering as newbies, you are wrong. The 'vets' are used and abused just as much if not more than the new folk.

    lulwut?

I watch vids so I know enough to not screw up the run for everyone else.
Expecting others to extend the same courtesy makes me "lazy, self centered, obnoxious, and antisocial"?

One would think those adjectives apply much more aptly to someone who expects others to educate them and/or refuse to learn how to not get the party wiped.

Of course you have no actual rebuttal to my post, so you instead attack it by broadening it to mean that I'm insinuating minorities across the world should continue to be oppressed by the majority. OBVIOUSLY I was speaking in respects to a VIDEO GAME and not real life, you dolt.

Furthermore, as to your last post, the "lazy" ones are the people who can't be bothered to prepare themselves for a fight, the "self-centered" ones are the people who expect everyone to explain it to them on their time, the "obnoxious" ones are the ones who complain about people treating them like a pariah for joining a difficult boss with not even an inkling of what's going on, and the "anti-social" ones are the ones who treat this as a single player game and don't give two craps about their shortcomings affecting other people.

Apparently, reading a guide or watching a video JUST TO HAVE A BASIC GRASP of the fight can be a very hassle thing to do for some of them out there. They would rather not waste their time doing some research and then ironically waste more time wiping and pulling everyone else with them.

Precisely this kind of attitude that gave birth to elitist and countless PF with title "Pros only" or "kick if fail".

I wonder how fail can those person be in real life, 'Hey boss, i didn't read the guide you told me to for this job, why do i need a guide, i can fail my way through it and be very social with all my co-workers'

Man, some days I love the XIV board. I can come here and get all sorts of political commentary. Everything from the tyranny of the majority to the necessity of free speech.

Of course, all of it's rammed into some crazy argument made by someone who should, by all rights, know better; but that just makes it more amusing.

Even more amusing are the tags for this thread, lol.

Also people who deliberately waste time for other people are terrible people.

I play on PS3 tbh, I think it\\'s just whoever being a butthead tbh. It\\'s people always worrying about \\'time\\' in this game so
we must know everything or get knocked upside the head.
It\\'s like the learning curve of any souls game.
Before ppl posted vids/ strats a veteran player would die from the unkown because well.. It\\'s the unkown lol. Even after watching vids they would still die to the most trivial things like ganks and back rolling off a cliff ( happens everytime )
It has multiplayer so u could be possibly wasting 2 other ppl\\'s time is you die right after summoning them.

the game is designed to be facerolled by a zombie. Players get used to that and get "shocked" as soon as there is an interruption in the (boring) gameflow.
They get impatient, and lost any sense of community after the first dungeon encounter - if they ever had one to begin with.

Looking at the last letter its a fact it won't change.
"omg we cannot put focus on random elements in fights, since people will get too stressed" - WTF?
(thinking about it... they couldnt really implement it since their servers cannot handle it properly).

I prefer getting good/experienced while playing NOT "learning" a fight pattern (how boring is taht).
But having people learn the pattern before? that makes the content 100% obsolete.
People memorize just fine by doing it (trial and error). What is so wrong about it. Thats basicly the only fun part of a dungeon/battle with that narrow-minded design.

If you take THAT out as well , what is left?
