Garuda won't use anything on obey unless you tell it to use it. All it will do is autoattack. So if you want knockback, tell it to use it.

If you or your pet die and when you need to re-summon, make sure to use obey again. Cause it doesn't automatically, at least I have noticed it on mine. Would be nice if we can macro pet skill, that way I can macro: /pet "Obey", /ac "Bio II", /pet "Wind Blade" and then when I hit Bio on my rotation I could just say /ac "Bio", /pet "Contagion". Would have made a lot simpler for ps3 player, instead of having to toggle different control sets.

So He'll still use Wind blade? I assume the knockback move you won't want to use unless you're soloing.

Yeah, all pets will only use the "Auto Attack" skill when you put them on Obey. The rest of the skills you have to use manually, but in a party setting all you'll be using is Contagion/Shining Emerald.

Here is a general starting rotation:
Bio II+Obey(so the pet starts attacking while you're casting) -> Miasma -> Bio -> Fester during GCD(make sure to delay it a little more until the Bio debuff is present) -> Shadow Flare -> Thunder -> Ruin -> Ruin II -> Raging Strikes+Fester during GCD -> Bio -> Miasma -> Thunder -> Bio II -> Fester(have to use this one on GCD) -> Miasma II -> Rouse During GCD-> Bio -> Contagion+Spur during GCD-> Shadow Flare -> Ruin II -> Enkindle during GCD

You are looking at a thread from 2013 afterall. There's tons of other resources you could pull from that have since been released. But Thunder can be easily replaced by Ruin + Ruin 1/2 (depending on if you use Ruin 2 to force GCD or not)

If I have Garuda, I'll run in close and use Misamia 2 which I macroed to her Contagion ability. Then fall back while casting Ruin 2
If no Garuda, I use Ruin 2 until it's time to refresh and I start from the top.
