I was hoping that they would introduce the Jobs in Ishgard. They could lower the current quest rank requirements and then at R30/35 you get your Job unlock quest which takes you to Ishgard where you meet your required Job's teacher.

It's really hard to tell, isn't it?
In my head I imagined companies to have their own military ranks and be more tied in to large-scale PVE
It would also tie in well to the one to fifty long zone thread
Can I just have Ishgard, companies, AND jobs?
If I recall correctly, the devs put it on record that Ishgard is being held back until about the same time they're ready for the PS3 release - after all the major fixes.
Sorry to rain on hopes like the storm over Gridania....
lol
Maybe PS3 is not too far behind jobs?!?!?!?
I hope we'll get job quests from respective guilds and they implement Ishgard with real content, possibly even new classes.
if ffxiv is any comparison to ffxi in terms of content wise and when it was released, jeuno didn't open up for a while after JP launch. when it opened, it implemented a lot of new stuff like airships and chocobos.
imagine if ishgard was ffixiv's jueno. airships are said to be implemented around 1.19. also new jobs. something big like that would have to open with something huge like say, the implementation of Ishgard since thats pretty much what they did with jueno.
what do u guys think?
It'd be interesting to see a dev response to this this week.
I think a response about Ishgard in general would be nice. but... nobody pays me in gum![]()
