there is no reason to remove something that can keep you alive. at all. making things easier on healer and tanks is a good thing.less healing/spam healing means they wont oom or pull hate.
I SS, if I notice that someone removes it intentionally, I stop SS, if that person asks me to, I dont SS anymore, you removed it and had me waste my mana, why woud I lose mana intentionnaly? When we wait for a fight I SS, if someone is runing away I dont bother, that means he didnt want it....the thing is whatever is on you is your decision if you want to keep it or not for your own reasons, why criticize what others do with what is applied ON THEM ? sure may be some troubles for healers but overall, you do it twice then dont do it and use the mana spared from not SS to heal...
I stopped long ago asking these questions *lol*

I've had a tank wait for my Adlo/Succor to time out before initiating pulls in T4 because "It draws them to you."
I played a game once (not FF-related game) where someone asked me not to buff them because the buffs made an annoying noise........................... ( - . - ;
Time to save more mp by not healing him.
I'd like to see these kinds of people in the temple of Qarn, let them eat a final sting and see if they continue to say they dont need it/say its useless.
Oh hey nothing was here
In the Lost City of Amdapor, second boss, I was asked to remove stoneskin from the tank (wtf I can't?), I had casted it before the fight and I didn't understand why the dps asked me that. I still don't. Any specific reason? I answered "I can't. He'd have to take it off himself." I didn't bother asking why, but now...
I had a tank in Halatali HM remove stoneskin a couple times because it was wasting the groups time. I was precasting the SS right before a encounter would end as well.....
ITT there's a whole lot of stupid.
Anyone who removes any form of damage mitigation, whether it's stoneskin or galvanize, probably only has a handful of functioning brain cells. Maybe if there were some kind of mob who could 'steal' your buffs like some in FFXI I could understand their reasoning. Alas, there is not, so you should not.
