*groan* Another gun jumper making assumptions. First I never played FFXI, I just know of the relationship of DRG and Wyvern. Second of all, have you seen the thread title, it states "not explicitly announced".

Yoshi said that if they implemented it like a mount (no combat) it could make it in soon. He said the only complication would be if they integrated it into combat. We already have flying mounts so it's not really any drama to create another with the skin of a Wyvern.

"So as long as the Wyvern doesn't have that sort of power, then I'm sure we could implement it so sometime in the future maybe you will see the pet Wyvern. We do have some plans and when you see how the story evolves in reborn it might make sense to you."

These are totally going to be linked in with Ishguard opening up as a GC.
