It's cliche and cheesy, but zooming out actually does help for me, personally. If you have trouble with landslides or weight of the land, you can also try to angle the camera so that you can see the ground. As a healer you're not going to be focused on Titan so you won't see the cast bars like everyone else, so you have to pay attention to other cues.

Or you can just focus target Titan with (i believe) Shift+F. Seriously, focus target is a godsend.

Like the others say - just practice. Again. Again. And again.
As whm my first Titan was the most horrific thing I have ever experienced in this game. I cannot even type the barage of abuse I received during that first try. It was so bad I stopped going into dungeons/trials for almost a week (I just ran about doing side quests).
I finally got enough courage and went in with some FCs and we downed him. It seemed not so bad. I did it again and again, and helped more FCers as they reached it. I remember when I was lv50 I helped 3 newbies in there. Giving them all the help and support I could we downed him with 3 mins to go! They were all so happy.

Anyway, advice is; dont worry, Titan is evil and harsh on your first time. And although the Tank may have been a pro, just remember if DPS (and Tank) are taking damage in the face, there is only so much healing we can do without endangering ourselves. Just move from the landslide immediately (even if you are a gants hair from the end of your cast - just move!) As soon as you are out of the zone, start another cast (just so the server registers you outside - you can always just start, then move, to cancel it (if its some crappy cast))

I am sure you are fine - just keep slugging and healing those peeps that need our HP-Love!

I remember feeling so accomplished when I first beat Titan (story mode). Now I am doing much, much harder and complicated fights at endgame. My point is... even if you are frustrated now: you'll get there, don't worry. The more comfortable you feel with a fight, the better you will do. As others have said, understanding the ability rotation helps a LOT... not only in this fight, but many fights in the future. It is almost necessary on some of the hard/extreme mode battles. Knowing what is coming will help you heal the tank as he is taking a big hit, for example.

If you are dying to landslide due to lag (you see yourself out of landslide but you are still getting hit), then you need to look at your internet. Either your ping is too high (the time it takes for your computer to communicate with the server, and back), or your bandwidth can't handle all of the information coming in and going out at once. There are third party (legal) programs (such as wtfast) that you can use to improve your ping, but to fix the bandwidth issue, you'll need to contact your ISP and upgrade your up/down speed. Anyway, good luck!

-stack hp when you want to learn
-trade in hp for mind etc when u got the feel of the battle
-listen to the music cuz each phase shift = a different segment in song.
-when you die try to die on the platform so you can watch the rest of the fight vs being knocked off the arena and not being able to see the fight at all.
-stoneskin yourself if possible because you'll be able to survive a bomb if u get hit from whatever reason.
-If you have to choose between a dead dps or the party, of course pick the party.
-burn your dread till you win

Well this was a nice thread to wake up too, put a big smile on my face! Thank you everyone who posted offering advice and support, if I replied to you all my post would be a mile long, so I opted for likes instead hehe, forgive if I don't reply to you all.

@Sagittarian: Yeah I didn't stand close to the edge enough, I see where I went wrong there

@Alistaire: I managed to dodge landslide with a quick diagonal dart and sideways scuttle up the aoe line lol so I think my ping is ok, but I will try WTFast, because it's definitely worth giving it a try and see what the results are.

@Moqi: Yes, I do love it, and it is lots of fun, even if everything isn't going perfect, that's the positive side I enjoy of PuGing it, because I enjoy helping and teaching others who are new to the dungeons. Titan was my first real stress bessy moment! Thank you for your words of encouragement

@Puwarh: Yes, I find that if it's a negative atmosphere within a group, that has more of an impact on performing properly, whereas a bit of encouragement goes a long way! I dont mind wiping multiple times at all, I know I got a gazillion more wipes in my near future LOL might as well get used to biting the dust!

@AngelicSence: Yes I was running out of mana by spamming medica too much, it wasn't just first time for me either, my fc mates suffered as well, me and my brother went splat a few times, apart from our resident dodge ninja

@Suberaneanbird: Thank you for those really helpful tips, from your posts! I'm gonna be taking notes from whole thread and passing them on to my FC as well, they're gonna love me hehe.

@Kinseykinz: Yeah I thought I must be doing something right, with healing ok through Brayflox without slept mobs and too many being pulled (dps, not the tank) with only 1 death as opposed to multiple wipes! Dps did apologise, it was an accidental pull, mob snuck up behind, and hit the wrong mob as well.

I did notice that our dps did stack on the tank, or on me. I did notice that the tank moved titan around a lot, I got a feeling he was "spinning" him as someone mentioned later in this thread. Yet because I was a stressy bessy, and unused to the fight, I didn't want to point the finger at him, rather my own ineptitude which was blindingly obvious! Thank you for your kind words as well

@Pantz: Yeah that's where i went wrong again, puttin Stoneskin on mid-fight.

@SummonerSenah: Thank you for the zooming out tip, I'll try that as well.

@Shmunkster: Sorry to hear you had such a rough time of it, some people can be so mean. I'm glad you got a really good FC to help you through it Yes I have to remember I'm not omnipotent as a healer Thank you for your words of encouragement.

@Ryuko: Yep that's how I felt too, when we finally did down him. I've got new chat box set up to warn me when boss is casting something now, as well as a load of other things to do for a better set up in regards to Titan.

@Yumi_umi: Thank you for those helpful tips, didn't think of adding hp to my gear setup for learning phases! I thought you had to stack mind/piety on accessories and materia, my accessories are a mix of mind/piety and spell speed at the moment. Thank you for your other tips as well, especially the bit about burning my dread

TLR Great advice, ty all, will be taking notes, and did nearly turn into a mile long post after all >.<

Something everyone needs to learn when dealing with landslide is to watch Titan as he will physically turn around to face his target before he does it. It happens before the AOE lines show up and gives you a moment to know it's coming beforehand which for many people is enough to realize it's time to move.
