    Well they could add the better dye option to the level 44 versions of the equipment. That would be nice and a good alternative.

    In addition to dyeing more than one part of gear, I wish we could zoom in on the dye preview and use different backgrounds like we can during character creation. I've found many times that the colors shown in the preview do not look the same as in the open world.

    You can zoom in, move and rotate ^^. Bottom right of the preview screen the eye icon: "toggle character display mode on/off"

    @OP, I bought it too and am quite sad that the straps are the only dyable part
