    Admittedly, I may be mistaken but I'm almost positive EQ2 had that style of system in place before Rift.

    That said, there's absolutely no sane reason to require a level 50 for access to the glamour system and I would personally love it if the class restrictions were removed from projecting followed by being able to dye all types of gear.

    Yes, EQ2 had the exact same vanity system. They called it the Appearance Tab. It was originally available to you once you hit level 20, but they eventually made it available for brand new level 1 characters. Honestly, I wish that XIV's developers had gone with this system (Blizzard, too, in regards to WoW) but... server limitations and we get the Glamour System instead. C'est la vie. *sigh*

    Also, I happen to like the appearance of some of the DoM gear on my male characters.
