Rude people in dungeons.

If im new to any dungeon i watch the video to get a idea of the bosses then i announce to the group im new. Generally they are very nice and willing to work/help out.

On a side note though i have come across some..rather rude people not because i was new but thier lack of willing to work as a team. I will not name shame but some remarks were cussing, others were "we don't do this for team play" after i stated running ahead of the tank was smart in my sarcastic tone which was then met by "Idc what you think"(that was from a guildhest just today on whm) which i couldn't understand myself. People like this tend to rot the play of other people for the fear of running into their type again.

Back to topic a bad bunch can ruin a community but only because they tend to stick out more then the mass of helpful ones out there. Don't give up for every bad apple there's 10 good ones!

Oh man, I'm about to quit doing them all together. I've had one where if I don't know the level, I immediately put it out there since I'm the tank. I've had it to where a healer stopped healing me because he didn't like the way I was tanking... As well as talked a bunch of stuff that made sense if you're 15 years old. Then another today where I died from some massive hit, I put LOL cause I don't take it that seriously. The kid wrote, omg! Are you trolling? I told you how to not die! I said I'm fighting the monsters, I'm too busy to sit there and read during that. Then they go on. I really wanna just mute everyone... I wish there was an option to choose your age level and dungeon with those players instead of these kids. And it's very obvious they are kids from what they say and how they behave. It's really turned me off to dungeons.

Regardless of how new you are to the game, nobody has the right to harass and berate you.
Report the people who do so with great prejudice. Report them several times over if that is what it takes.
Most of all, don't let them get to you. Stand up for yourself and stand up for others.
There are some jerk players out there but in no way are they the majority.
Unfortunately, they are the loudest.

Still, I'm sorry that this happened to you OP.
Shame on the rest of your party for not saying anything to the tank.

Thankfully it has been a lot better lately! I guess it's just a matter of who you get in the duty finder.

Last night I tried Haukke Manor again (fifth time) and it was just insanely brutal, instead of the team waiting for me to get aggro they rushed ahead of me and basically wiped themselves. I tried to do what I could to get aggro but to no avail. Apparently them rushing ahead of me was completely my fault.

So we decide to try again...bear in mind I'm kind of upset at this point. So I tell the team to wait while I pull a mob to avoid having two roaming Maid Servants add and wipe us. Everything was going okay until a DPS decides to run with me to pull the next mob. I stop before I hit the group and he keeps running. He gets aggro and lasts about a minute before he dies. Again its my fault apparently.

So I gave them a third chance and yes I do know the definition of insanity. Anyways I manage to pull a group to avoid the two roaming Maids but the DPS decides to pull them himself. We wipe and its my fault yet again. So I decide to log the character out and wipe him from the world it is on and decided to change the server I was on.

Well I doubt it'll get better elsewhere. I know we aren't perfect, those of us that are complaining, but it is a shame that we try to do good and our experience gets ruined by immature people. How the poster above me gave them 3 chances, I don't do that anymore... I leave if I get annoyed or anything. My emotions aren't worth it to get upset over a game.

I admire your fortitude. Having a 50 PLD and 50 BRD, I know both ends of the roulette wheel. I can only hope, and assume, that the people attempting to speed run through the mobs and massive pull were geared 50s doing roulette. If so, and I were tanking that dungeon as part of my own roulette and with the limited means of aggro control at that level, I'd have left after the first warning. Reason being is that those dps know better -- and I know they know better, or at least I hope that people with some coil gear and atma/zeniths know at least some small measure of aggro control.

People attempting to treat low lvl roulette as if it is a Brayflox speed run are massively annoying...for that matter are any DF people expecting a BFHM to be a speed run...but that's a vent for another day.

What I meant is, it doesn't matter if you're a lvl synched 50 or not - dps should know how to control their own aggro if THEY are synched down -- I was giving an example of how I'd have handled it being synched down myself, but if I were a new tank to the instance, I'd have done the exact same. Warn once and then leave.

I know what you meant and didn't mean to insinuate anything. This game just doesn't seem friendly to new players unfortunately. I know that the level 50's do the instances for a higher reward but some of them just need to chill out.
