The gear from Basch and Steiner look like they can fit into Eorzea.
Full Plate knight armor and a torn up mercenary armor.

You must be fun at parties. But really, most of these sets probably wouldn't fit well in Eorzea. It'd be cool nonetheless.

I like the idea of incorporating inspired armor sets from past Final Fantasy titles in the game through events and stuff, but not as any real static gear (unless it's from more classic Final Fantasy titles, which already has some inspired gear in the Armor of Light from LotA based off the Warrior of Light from FFI, and the Goldsmith's AF gear based off of Locke from FFVI, both of which were technological era-friendly, whereas clothing from FFVII/FFVIII is much more modernized and should be held for events only)

It's just like when people name there character "Cloud Strifeee" or something other ridiculous ripped off name. I don't understand why people do that. You're attempting to assume the roll of some well known character? Is it this same draw that makes you want to look like them too?

I'm playing my own character. Not cloud or any other character reborn.
