Haha, I am in the same boat. Looking for the battlemage robe since ages but I can't ask my FC all the time because the dungeon is fgn boring lol. If I go DF and the other DD is a BLM at that level, I also can't take it away from him just for vanity reasons.
I am only not sure how far you can go solo in a dungeon. Maybe unsynced it would work. Two weeks ago, I was in Sastasha for one of my Animus books and as usual, tank left directly in the beginning because he found Sastasha boring (doing Roulette and then be picky is so not ftw). Healer left as well at some stage after no replacement tank came in so it was two DD's, a BLM and a bard, both only there for the end boss. We managed to complete the dungeon till the end boss and then tried the "Bard kites end boss to Death while BLM heals" strat but it didn't work because the last boss hit us too hard. Three hits and both the Bard and myself were down, no chance with my lowbie Physicks skill lol.
So if there ever will be a solo dungeon, there must be adjustments made to allow non tank classes to eat more dmg, especially from bosses. I could imagine me and my healing choccobo in dungeons, really would love to be able to do so. Time will tell if we ever get that opportunity.

Well yes, I did mention it would be unsync'd in my OP

hoping if they allow less people to enter it could be how they introduce chocos to dungeons and make lowbie dungeons less of wait-for-the-que-to-pop
just ticking a box that you don't mind it..
>summon choco
>enter lowbie dungeon
>now you're playing with 3 people
or
>2 people summon chocos
>enter lowbie dungeon
>now you're a duo, yay for couples etc.
can we just refrain from ideas that needs the devs to work (even rework old content....) on single player content in a massive multiplayer online RPG?
Also, being 50 (or overlevel for any duty in that matter) does not automaticly mean you get free vanity gear (which it is, free, if you go there, onehtting every enemy)

1) No, I will not refrain. MMOs have solo content. This is a normal thing. Get over it.can we just refrain from ideas that needs the devs to work (even rework old content....) on single player content in a massive multiplayer online RPG?

2) So by that logic should I have to level sync to go kill mobs out in the world? Don't want those pesky level 50's getting free drops from open world mobs one hitting them and all. While we're at it let's add level sync to crafting and gathering too since, you know, level 50's can't have free HQ items. Oh and let's level sync all dungeons and raids to a certain ilvl so people can't have free dungeon loot.

MMOs have solo content:
yeah you can quest, do hests, slay animals if you feel like it.
There are no solo dungeons in this game. Take it as a clue from the devs.
Get over yourself.
Dungeons != Open World
Consider playing a single player game if you feel like soloing stuff.

Playing by yourself =/= single player game. Gathering - perfect example. I go out in the world and I gather things for my character in a game that has thousands of other players on your server, how is that different? Replace "gathered items" with "vanity items" and it's the exact same thing which btw, does not make it a single player game despite being "solo".
So why is it that you are okay with other solo content but any new solo content is forbidden? And why is anything not in the game forbidden? You make zero sense. If you had a proper argument maybe I would see your point but you don't. You seem to be against this just because I don't have to do it with other people which is absurd.
Also, you can differentiate instanced and open world all you like it's still all the same. Only one so blind they only see nuances would say otherwise.
There's no difference between farming these for "progression" gear and grabbing yourself some HQ craftable gearI'd rather they just make that gear sellable. Those dungeons would not be fun and would be more mindnumbing then atma farming. New players would be even more behind since high level players can top gear their low level alts at will.
You will get what a few minutes of new "excitement" while you run through brayflox aoeing everything down in minutes - grab loot. Next.
Then we have even more complaints about "why do I have to buy another retainer?", since everyone will have every vanity piece in existance. I also imagine you could farm gc seals pretty quick by quick-spanking these dungeons for green/red gear.
Better than doing nothing waiting on my static
GC Leves would still be a faster source of seals. No one is complaining about that.

No thank you. Part of the work of a dungeon is building your party or rolling the dice and getting a pug. We should not be level 50's solo farming in instanced dungeons.
