    I don't see the pvp taking any major part in ranking up in FFXIV. I can't imagine it happening as anything more than friendly competition brenner style. The lore of the game doesn't lend itself to PvP in open world in any way. Except, of course, they could possibly add a duel function.

    In GW pvp completley kill pve with a few people that continue doing pve..
