Level 25 NPC wearing level 50 armour and weapon !!!

    Hello;

Today I saw a level 25 NPC wearing level 50 armour and wielding a level 50 sword.

How do I go about and get this too ?

I have screenshots of the character and weapon but can't attach to the post

I noticed that in the 'examine' character option where it shows you the sword, armour and accessory of the character you are examining, that in the bottom left corner of each item list to either side of the image of that NPC, there was the symbol that looks like the 'level' symbol (looks like a jing and yang symbol). Is this significance, I have never seen it before

    Hope someone can help !

I think you really mean a player character (PC) rather than a non-player character (NPC), as NPCs can't be examined (their names are also written in green not blue).

It seems to me what you've seen is a level 50 player participating in a low level FATE (probably atma grinding), which if they are more than six levels above the actual level for the FATE, their level is automatically reduced temporarily by what is called 'level sync' - this also occurs if you do a dungeon that is a lower level than your current level - the 'ying-yang symbol' is the give away.

So yeah, there's nothing really unusual about it. It's a normal part of the game, so don't worry.

Yes thanks for clearing that up

I have another question : I've noticed that when I swap between classes the items I was wearing return to my armour chest. So, when I'm selling stuff , is there a way to tell that this item I'm going to sell is actually a piece of kit that I'm using and i shouldn't sell it.

I hope that made sense !

    Thanks

If you save your gear as a gear set, there's a small note icon that appears on it. That would indicate that the piece of gear in question is already in use.

Adding to that: if you've already used a piece of gear in battle or crafted with it, it becomes bound to you. You can still sell it to Npc's, but it won't let you put it on the market board for sale^^

If you look back at the Halloween event (cosplay as an NPC or mob), my entry actually shows that what OP said does happen. My entry was for the lvl 30 ARC quest, but the gear I had to wear to match it was up to lvl 45 (and one piece I gave up on was about lvl 49), though I guess there could be dated gear with lower levels.

    Thanks ! Most useful information

    But I have another (!)

Is there a way I can look at market place items starting with the highest costing? Just because when I making equip I am trawling through loads of pages just to find a few high end price items and it's a bit tedious ?

    Cheers (again).
