CT Part 2 and gear - will it just be i100 at this point?

I'm too lazy to read back through everything, and this might have been suggested, but here's an idea.

Make Crystal Tower itself a weekly lock out. Like Coil, you do it once a week, and that's it. You could then justify the difficulty and justify having a reward for EVERY player who clears it at the end.

Maybe an Oil, Sand, Unidentified Tomestone, etc.

You could also have glamour gear from each of the bosses or something to add a bit more incentive.

Making the dungeon a weekly lockout would make it the same as coil, with the added difficulty of getting 24 man (with the right jobs) together at the end of the week. No if you want to do lockouts I would stick with the weekly loot lock out for CT.



Personally I am expecting vanity gear again, and I'd be fine with anything 90+.
That way I can spend my myth and sol on my most important classes, while gearing the rest with CT2.

But maybe we all get a surprise and CT2 drops accesoires.
Or maybe it even drops those scrolls for the relic quest line. Who knows.

I believe I read somewhere don't know if it was official or not that CT2 was gonna be i90 gear. I personally don't mind since it means I can gear an alt without having to spend myth or get gear for my main for vanity. Would not complain more so if its i95 or 100

That would be extremely illogical, there already is a raid in which you can freely gear yourself in i90 gear, namely the first Binding coil.

there is already 3 sets of 90 gear. myth, allagan and melded. melded you can get the stats you want on while the other two take time or skill. ct2 being 90 would just be horrible. it would quickly become what ct is right now, empty except for late starts, and full of trolls.

Honestly, CT2 dropping i90 gear is about the dumbest thing they could do IMO. It would basically make CT2 completely pointless right from the get-go, except for vanity purposes. Like a previous person stated, there are already 3 ways to easily obtain i90 gear. Farm the new dungeons for Myth and buy Myth gear, farm Coil 1-5, or craft/purchase the new i90 gear. I have 5 jobs that I'm working on, and am only a couple pieces away on my two lowest jobs (bard and summoner), for them all to be i90 on up to i96.

they didn't have to because we already had myth. the thing is Soldiery is not the equivalent of Myth so that gives them more options to make CT2 more enticing to more people.

also myth gear before took longer to get compared to the current soldiery gear. heck 300myths a week. you cant even buy a piece of AF+1 nor accessory with that. I really think its gonna be ilvl 100-110. But I'm leaning more towards ilvl110 and them being AF2 gear which they teased together with the high allagan gear.

since it's AF and will be job specific(i think those AF designs will drop in CT2) i think it will be ilvl 110
