    I was lucky and finished it in 3 days of grinding. Even grinded a few more to get a head-start on my Bravura Atma thought ultimately quit for now to focus on animus books for Omnilex. But while I didn't mind grinding FATEs as it gave me something to do in between ques and during short play periods, I can understand ppls frustration when the grind can take exponentially long or short on a case by case basis due to RNG rather then time devoted and dedication, and that isn't a grind I personally support. Here is hoping it still remains a grind but with somewhat less rng.

    Seriously, I still see people complain about getting the buff, but then reject my suggestion to turn it off in dungeons. Can't have it both ways.

    They're nerfing it for those who HADN'T yet run the old content (of which there are a lot out there), but it doesn't mean ya can step up and go at it the old school way.

    (yes, I'm being kinda venty here, but seriously tired of the "LOLEcho")

    Yeah...many people with RL responsibilities have time to run challenging content. It's just a matter of whether you choose to do it yourself. Nerfs make "old" content more accessible and that's fine by me as a casual player, though I play a good bit...It also helps when bosses give certain groups more trouble than most as it is, mainly groups as a whole who are...of lesser skill. I have managed to clear Titan HM multiple times with ease since the item level was raised and the echo buff was introduced, for example. The challenge is there, you just need to maybe put forth some effort to access it in the time between patches when it is current. Make some friends, join a raiding FC/LS...even start some learning groups to help yourself and other learn the content so you can run it with pugs. SE also mentioned a good while ago (pre-2.0 launch) that they would be handling content in this fashion so that's just how things are going to be.

    I agree with you 100%, but this is logical thinking. Therefore it's irrelevant on the forums.

    I 100% agree with the OP. Nerfing old content is imho a really bad practice. I left GW2 a while back cause I hated the temporary content formula. I felt pressured to rush the game just so I could see the content before it disappeared forever in a months time. But is this nerfing cycle really any different? I was thinking that as I was running through AK fighting the demon wall. The demon wall boss is a pathetic shell of what it once was. I was thinking back on when I ran AK to get the i60 gear and how challenging the demon wall was for some. For all intents and purposes that content doesn't exist in this game anymore. New or old players will never get that experience again. It's basically the same thing as if they removed AK altogether.

    I get this idea of giving people a way to catch up to friends but then the question is why? How did mmos get into this structure that only a small pie slice of content is relevant and bleep all the rest? That set up just flat out can't work. It's like a poor schooling system where everyone is shuffled along at a specific pace. The kids who are behind in their math skills are forced forward forever lost and behind and those that excel in math are bored to tears.

    As I mentioned in my initial post - there will always be a time / need for nerfing "some" content. However, there is a lot of content that I believe should "NEVER" be nerfed (I-level caps should be implemented). Even as a new player - it would be more fun for me to die a couple of times to a boss rather than kill it the first time without putting any thought or effort into it.

    IMO - the only content that I currently can see the reasoning behind a nerf is (ignoring T6 - T9 at this point) Titan HM, Titan Extreme Mode and Twintania (obviously others might choose to include an additional boss or two and that's completely fine). All of these have now received nerfs and I'm fine with those. I had no problem with Titan HM pre-nerf but I could see how some might. Are there really many other battles that need the nerf? I mean - back in the day - there were people who died dozens of time to Sephiroth in FF7 and eventually overcame. If you never want to lose - watch a movie. Can't we identify which bosses truly need a nerf rather than throw the nerf stick at all 2.0 and 2.1 content? I can remove "my" echo buff - but that doesn't mean others in my group will.

    It's not just the echo buff. The coil has had various things nerfed. No matter how much you click away the buff, it will not make it like how it was.
