Same difference. Nobody would ever choose the cutscene version so you'd end up with the same issue.
Not if, as Gil rules the world, you double the XP/GIL/give some myth tomes to those who go there to "help" the new players, which is why DF was created in the first place.
To everyone, not just a specific job-type.
Sadly these days, no one cares about each other, once you are done, you continue your road, not looking back if someone needs your help.
The game has a story: cutscenes are part of it, and well-placed into dungeons.
It's not candy crush, where all you do is lvl lvl lvl..
When you play a solo game, there will be unavoidable cutscenes to give you a sens of immersion.. MMOs have more than one person playing.
If you have done your story part, and wants to skip it, we need to consider also those who need it for their first time at least.
Else this MMO is a solo game..

They already give great tomes through Story Roulette. That's literally the only reason they get run by anyone but new players right now. But unless they bump that reward a good deal, if you're going to force watching cutscenes then your time is better spent elsewhere.
And every MMO is lvl, lvl, lvl... If you don't level you get stuck on the same content.
I reiterate: it was a ridiculous idea to put multiple long cutscenes in the middle of raid. It's absurd really. The cutscenes should have been in solo content between boss trials.

And yes, Duty Roulette people are only doing it for the Tomes and Gil rewards. Do they care about the real intent: to help other players? Methinks not so.
*and getting cap after lvl lvl lvl, you will be doing the same content over and over lol

Or they can just keep the cutscenes outside the dungeon content. A short panorama of the end boss just before fighting is fine, but long cutscenes just before a PUG dungeon\BCNM (avatar fight?) was a bad idea. This stemmed from the only "instanced" content in XI being BCNMs that everyone was a willing party to and that you couldn't speed run, and the long missions that everyone completed together. SE hasn't had to deal with this kind of repeatable dungeoning that all other modern mmo's have already gotten past. I expect we will see far fewer CS's as a part of the repeatable dungeons and SE will keep those as a part of the player's personal story. As much as I agree that one shouldn't be forced to skip cutscenes, people also have the right to skip them if they chose. Instead of having unskippable cutscenes, about how having an option in Duty Finder to select either a) Story Mode Roulette (where people who wish to experience the story content get assigned to a party with like-minded people), or B) Farming Mode, to farm for tomes/do speed runs. I don't know if this would be do-able, or it may cause problems in Duty Finder with longer wait queues, I dunno. Just a compromise suggestion for everyone!
So in short - I'm not signing a petition to make my dungeon experience unnecessarily longer. There's only so many times any of us can stand to watch the same 5 minutes of story over and over... and over again.
If I wanted a cinematic experience, I'd go out to Regal.

Strongly disagree sorry. Don't get me wrong due to this I missed all the scenes I really wanted to see. I just think they should all be playable afterwards in the inn
I think the issue is that you're expecting DF players to behave on some arbitrary line. If a healer don't heal, by all means cook them for the devils, but if a healer wants to skip the cutscenes, ain't nothing is wrong with that. The only way to "solve" this issue is to get think alike players to band together, either via FC or via Party Finder. As I mentioned in this first post, the issue arises at the very end of the campaign. Players aren't going to remember that.
Game developers need to consider the players' state of mind when the issue arises, instead of just throwing in any old solution the devs think will work.
If you'd rather not go the tutorial, simply put warnings near the dungeon requirements text: "if you wish to view the cutscenes, please form a Party Finder to do so". or perhaps when you first unlock the dungeons, you get introduced to Party Finder, for the XIVth time if need be
Good points from both sides, but if you are new to an instance and type, while in a CS, that you are new odds could be in your favor that a veteran or two may take sympathy. Odds are against you though, because no one plays this game to enjoy the simple things and reflect on battles. Everything is now now now, gimme gimme gimme, faster faster faster... :/
I actually don't see the value in watching the same cutscene for the XLVIII time. Really guys? Do you think that everyone will not, at any point in time, be "bored" with the same content over and over and over again? Titan Ex's 5 way Landslide looked bloody awesome the first time I see it. The first 5 times I died to TITEX I said "This is how HM should have been". Fast forward 30 attempts later, I'd burn the walls of Carpenter's Guild if need be to be done with itGood points from both sides, but if you are new to an instance and type, while in a CS, that you are new odds could be in your favor that a veteran or two may take sympathy. If you can... *cough* "sympathize" with the *cough* new players, maybe you can *cough* sympathize with the guys that have seen that content more often than they should in a lifetime.
All content is viewable in the inn. I watched all of the stuff from Westwind, CM, and Prae in the Inn. It's pretty easy to run a dungeon and regain the context unless your memory is horrible.
