I think you misunderstand the point of my post.
I put love and care into it because this is a matter that's very dear to us about a game we love to enjoy together.

Anything to further our experience would be incredible! I have faith in the development team and I'm looking forward to a favorable result.

The development team is currently looking into making it so you can set each kind of permission for your personal homes via your friends list.

i think it would be pretty cool if we could set one retainer to be a shopkeeper in our personal house so our friends with permissions could get in and buy stuff we place on our retainers while we are not online or out doing duty and exploring.

Not even necessarily same-sex, but there are also quite a few players I know who are male/female and play opposite gendered characters in-game. It should be relegated between any two players and not locked to a gender or race.

I think we need to stop calling it same-sex marriage. It's just a companionship ceremony. Last I checked no one in Eorzea was a Christian. We are going to let lalafell marry roegadyn and mi'quote marry hyur, crossing VERY distinct SPECIES lines... can we just not care what "sex" the pixels are?

And yes, joint housing would be very nice, but I can see them not adding that because they aren't going to want to preside over virtual divorces to divide "Assets".
