Remember guys. If holmgang lasted twice as long, you'd be rooted in place for twice as long too!

It's an awkward ability but don't feel strongly for or against changing Holmgang. It's better than what it was in 2.0.


What I really want is for them to remove the root from Holmgang. The other things are things I can live with.

I like that. Not every ability should be useful 100% of the time. Holmgang has a weird, specific niche, and that's fine.


Is that really a big deal if you're single targeting something? Or rather the hate on the mobs in question is focused severely on you(Unless certain gimmicks apply)? I only see Holmgang used as a "Hallowed Ground" Mechanic..Which I feel is hardly any good when you need to see this coming miles away.

You take a huge amount of damave after the "death sentence" by the ghost of mafkeoshc ( I have no idea how to spell it ). If you holmgang after that, you'll be rooted in place for 6seconds. But the ghost does a mini liquid hell on you shortly after, making you rooted in that are puddle for the duration of that 6seconds completely negating the purpose of holmgang.


Does it occur to you that you can use it...at the right time ? It would be good if people stop asking for the game to hold their hands all the time...
When will we see "Elusive Jump need to be changed cause if you use it after Geocrush, you can fall off the platform !!!!" ?
It's hard to argue there's a "right time", for a move that roots you in place in a game that places a lot of emphasis on dodging aoe's :/Does it occur to you that you can use it...at the right time ? It would be good if people stop asking for the game to hold their hands all the time...

Unless that ability is similar to Twister, in that, it will outright kill regardless of whether or not Hallowed Ground or Holmgang is active, why does it matter? The amount of times I have used it to bring an enemy closer to me is a number I can count on one hand. I generally use it as a stun because bound enemies cannot change the direction they are facing.
But it's most common use should be when you are about to die.
It's not an impressive skill, but it does something valuable and if you use it correctly it will be an underwhelming but important part of your toolset.
