So back on topic, I would guess that a good example of equal gear outside of coil would be the extreme mode primal in 2.1. Those fights weren't easier than coil mechanically. They just didn't lock you out after victory, thereby not limiting your selection of players to attempt the fights with. You see ultimately the content in coil is artificially made more difficult due to the lockout. Perhaps 2.3 will go the same route and add accessories of i110 quality to whatever 8 man content they decide to add.

Losing is as much part of the game as winning. Do you think coil groups win every time? We throw our bodies at stuff way more often than the average player until we get it right. If there is a healing problem we fix it, If there is a tanking problem we fix it, if we don't have enough DPS we fix it too. Also, just because we kill it once doesnt mean it goes smooth every time there after. (Looking at you T7...). You just got to keep going and in the end you will win too.
