It could add a small element of platforming. We're not talking super mario world, but certain obstacles could be "jumped" over adding a level of realism in a game you otherwise feel glued to the ground. Have you ran up any terrain recently? Ones that make you go, wow i just seriously walked flat uphill.
Realism, in a world where I haven't intentionally jumped since I was a in elementary school? I don't jump over rocks I walk around them. Thats realism.
I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders. Thank You SE, Thank You Community Team, Thank You Yoshi-P.
I hope so too. I could do without every other Lalafel hopping around waiting for a party, trying to sell their overpriced junk, or advertising their horrible gil selling sites.
you understood exactly what I meant.Had a friend come inside and have a drink waiting for our other friend to arrive. I was running to Nanawa Mines to log off so I could do my loose leves the next time I signed on. My friend was watching me over my shoulder, he is not a gamer btw, when he saw me running up hills from Black Brush to the mines he kept laughing and asked me to do it again. I don't know if this exactly is a great argument, but even to non-gamers this game's lack of jump makes it look totally embarrassing.
lol Cairdeas you sound like my gran, boring and old. And i 100% agree with BruceyBruceyBangBang and the other dude about walking up hill

...Well, if you say jumping is going to add realism, one would assume that you would want to be realistic with the actual aspect of jumping and comparisons with the pre-existing fantasy aspects of the game would have nothing to do with it.
Yep. Finally someone at SE who actually wants to modernize their games.
So keep walking around it once they implement jump, because the rest of us who are fit IRL can and do jump over things.
